My dad passed away in 2019. My mom and I have been going through some of his personal items that she hasn’t been able to deal with until now. I have found a few watches that he had tucked away when I came across the one I remember him wearing nearly every day as far back as I remember. He stopped wearing this one when he had his first stoke in 2010 and started wearing cheap watches he didn’t mind getting broken. This is a Waltham automatic. It’s very well worn, and I’m just starting to research it, but it says Swiss made on the case back. I remember trying to wear this watch (with his favorite hair pinching stretch band) and it fit all the way up my arm. This find has really made my day!
New to learning about watches. Doing my research before diving into collecting.
I know the feeling 🙏🏼
I, too, know the feeling. One of two things my dad left specifically to me was his Seamaster Chronograph.
I am sure your dad would like you to continue taking care of it for his grand children later.🙏
