Benrus Diamond Quartz

Another find while sifting through my dad’s old stuff. Found a little information about the company, and I’m guessing this is from the 80’s. I remember seeing it when I was young. He kept it tucked away, so I think it had some kind of significance to him.

Love how it has a Japanese movement but made in Hong Kong. Like the by-gone days of high-quality transistor radios.

I opened it up to replace the battery and the movement is stamped MIYOTA. The watch still doesn’t work after the battery swap, so I’m not sure what to do next. Lol

Donor movement, or find the modern equivalent and check the dimensions.
