What YOUR ideal summer watch?

So I’ve recently been obsessed with having a “summer watch” i love the concept of having one or a couple of bright insane watches that I wouldn’t normally buy or wear just to have for the summer and other bright months. I also want a bright fun watch as everything I own is Dull as hell. Everything consist of either black, grey, or dark blue.

While my dream “summer watch” is a 36mm candy pink Rolex Oyster perpetual. I make nowhere near enough money to buy one lol.

But I do have a few watches that I wouldn’t mind adding to the collection. Two of with I plan on adding sometime soon! Hint Hint! It’s a Casio and a Swatch!

But I want to know what you guys think what’s you ideal summer watch?

Show me what you have or would like to have I’m curious!

I love that Squale design, and it’s my pick, but you’ve got four winners there!

Same here! I’ve heard a lot about them and find their watches very interesting and would love to have one.

For a cheaper alternative to a summer watch, consider a strap change:

Squale

I think ima pick this up for the summer. When summer rolls around, I feel like my selection is slashed in half because a few of my watches are on leather bands.

I’ll be waiting!

Yellow dial on orange rubber with this Bausele gives me great summer vibes

Squale gets my vote!

That squale is really cool I reviewed a squale and I loved it. The brand has a lot of cool history behind them

Totally agree I own a Super Squale at the moment so I wouldn’t mind another!

Wouldn't this Zodiac be a better ambassador as a summer watch?

Gotta pop that color!

I went with D as I have just bought a G-Shock as a summer watch but that pink dial Nomos is 🔥

None of the above, Seiko 5 GMT in orange or that Islander Northport.

I just feel like a “summer” watch shouldn’t be too expensive.

·

My summer needs are fun colours and at least 100m WR 😎💦

The Pelagos seems to be my go-to summer watch these days…

… but these two Islander Northports just scream Summer.

[edit] Oh wait… there’s an orange variant too.

Love islander I’ve yet to buy one but these definitely do fit the summer watch category for me!

None of the above. If I get an itch for a brightly-coloured, water-friendly watch it will be a Doxa, probably a 200, probably in yellow.

Didn’t have it on the list but I have been eyeing doxa as well love their orange and blue models

Doxa seems to be a recurring brand in this post I think might give in 😭

I feel you! In the spirit of keeping it real however the watch in the picture is a Doxa homage made by Seestern. It will merely be a placeholder until I level up in the same way that I had the San Martin "climber" before getting a Rolex Explorer.

The Seestern Sub 300 homage actually has better lume than the original Doxa and the country of origin for many of the parts is the same.

There is some controversy around modern Doxa as a resurrected brand that contracts out the manufacturing though I'm still a fan.

At $175 the Seestern is a fantastic alternative and one of only two blatant homage watches in my 100+ collection. Happy hunting!

Whoa! Is that the black bay 580? That pic makes it look to be more of a wall clock.

No, not a Black Bay. That is the Pelagos

Dear lord! In my rush to get my joke in, I missed the model, which I absolutely love! That’s a great watch and I hope my humor came off appropriately.

Wise time pieces out Thailand just launch a new line of dial colors and started offering bracelet. They're all 904l steel as well.

I thought I had a soft spot for Zodiac until I bought one. Biggest regret in my collection. I posted a review about it.
