I started wearing my casio to sleep to check out the time when I woke up in the middle of the night since I heard someone did it online. It since become a habit, but I'm curious whether its common or not.
Anyone wear a watch when they go to sleep?? Feel free to share your thoughts on this ๐

I think small digital watches are the most convenient for this, so I often switch to my g square and am considering buying a cheap Casio for this specifically. Although sometimes I just keep my GSAR or whatever else I was wearing that day on, maybe one position looser than normal.

I almost bought a digital casio for this exact reason, but didn't due to my preference to analog ๐
Only wear my when camping out/ off grid.
I donโt like to wear anything when I sleep.
When I was single I always used to sleep with my watch on, but nowadays only when I forget it or traveling alone.
Biggest reason why i like lume. Never use it otherwise.
I don't wear my diver in the bath or shower either he's scared of water ๐๐คฃ
Very rarely.

The opposite of me i guess?? I cleaned my SNK by washing inside a bucket full of water and soap ๐
Not anymore really, but growing up I'd wear my Casio to sleep whenever I went to a friend's house for a sleepover. I remember how cool it was to randomly check the time in my sleeping bag by hitting the light button.

Noooo you animal poor watch I don't even do that too my mountain bike ๐๐คฃ๐๐
I wear my Garmin every night. It wakes me in the morning and tells me if I have well slept (something I am obviously not able to determine by myself).

I assume its only when you kinda forgot?? Or maybe because the watch is soo enjoyable that you kinda dont want to take it off??

I'm definitely reccomending you to try doing it again when you have the chance. Maybe that feeling of "coolness" Is still there ๐

I never wore smartwatch anymore after I found out that my anxiety and overall mental health is a lot better without them. But i have to say that sleep and health tracking is definitely one of the most useful and valid reason to wear one ๐
I make the strap looser.
Best of both worlds. Comfy but I can still check the time and I don't forget it in the morning.
I sleep with a watch on - although I might switch out to less shiney or high polished pieces to avoid dings and scratches. I don't like to look at my phone and get exposed to phone light when I wake up during the night and want to know what time it is.

I also made it looser. Other than that, using a strap thats breathable like a perlon or canvas also helps with the comfort ๐
Every night since the late 1970's/early 80's, with only a few unavoidable exceptions.
Just seems blummin' weird not to!
Especially as I'm getting older and need a pee during the night ๐คฃ

I'm glad I'm not alone ahahaha. I also had trouble sleeping after looking at something bright at night so wearing a watch definitely helps when I somehow woke up in the middle of the night.
By the way, maybe just in case you need it, consider using a watch protection service, or at least a hydrogel anti scratch for the glass. In my country, there is a company called Invishield to coat your watch with protective film, and a product brand named chronoshield for a simple anti scratch for the glass
Bought a F105W specifically for wearing to bed. It's light, about 20 grams and has the cool green light.

I just checked and the illuminator is kinda nice. Might pick one up since I havent had any digital watch in my collection. Thanks for mentioning this model ๐
I just have no reason to take it of, don't even remember it. Always on.
So, there is always a watch 24/7 then?? ๐
Im clumsy and i move a lot when i sleep, basically scratch magnet when sleeping.

If you wanted to try, I think wearing something like an MRW200H or a digital watch should do it. Or, you can put an anti scratch film on your watch glass ( I use it on my seiko snk and srpg) and try wearing it ๐

No worries. I even bought an amazfit for my mom to wear everyday to monitor her health and sleep quality. While I prefer conventional wristwatch, smartwatches definitely has its place ๐
I have my nightly ritual before I got to sleep of picking the next days watch, winding it, setting the time and placing it on its stand next to my bed ๐

I think this might be a neat ritual.... I might (kinda copy) this, but thanks for giving me an idea ๐
