Heya, I hope you guys don't mind I post this. Most of us seems to be aware that Alba is a Seiko sub-brand, but I feel like that Alba as a watch brand does not get that much love, particularly here in Indonesia. Would love to hear all of your thoughts on this brand.
Ps: Feel free to come to Alba roadshow location mentioned on the picture. I'm not paid by them, just a potential fan ๐

Not sure if they will stream it, but I think you're on to something... Maybe an online showcase by the watch brand can garner them some interest??
I love hearing about watches from around the world. It's fascinating. Thanks for posting. Plus I'm a big fan of Indonesia's landscapes and volcanoes. Mount Rinjani was one of the most spectacular hikes I've ever done.
Seiko's sub-brand strategy is quite intriguing. Here in the UK it's Lorus, but I think a lot of the designs are the same as Alba. Possibly because Alba is/was the in-house brand of a fairly large UK electronics chain store. So there might have been some IP issues.
In the UK Lorus are still offering watches based on the venerable and bombproof 7s26 movement though they give it a different model number. It'd be interesting to know if Alba are doing the same, e.g. in the Automatic dive watch in the photo.

Glad to hear you liked our country. I'm not a travel person myself but it seems area outside of java island have a lot of breathtaking sceneries.
I genuinely thought that Lorus is positioned at Seiko 5 level?? Whats the price point for Lorus watches If I may ask??
Here, an Alba automatic watch can be bought for as low as $67. The one on the picture is ALX4359 priced at around $100, and I just found out recently that they run on calible Y676, an apparent rebrand of 7s26. I saw someone on youtube compares both movement and it seems to be true.

A Lorus Automatic RL451AX9, which looks very similar to the Alba dive style watch, can be had for ยฃ67 incl 20% sales tax. Approx $82.
I checked out some models on the #alba website.. but is very difficult to buy them, at least here in Europe ๐

I can't find any exact copy on Alba's list. At least, even though both are sub-brands, they are not copying the heck out of each other lol
I frequently heard some watch reviewers mentions Lorus field watch though, definitely going to check it out if its available in my country

Wikipedia says that #alba is marketed towards asian and middle-eastern market. I think currently Alba AU4029X1 and AU4033X1 are the most unique ones about their collection (don't have it yet, but will be glad to hear another's opinion on it ๐)
I just remembered they have a series called Alba Gelato, which is a homage to the tiffany blue watches. It looks kinda nice, you might want to check that out
