Heading to the UK and Switzerland …

Morning all,

Not sure if I’ve introduced myself properly on here. My name is Michael Pearson, the North American Brand Director for Christopher Ward. This is a new position for the brand and I’m very proud to be a part of our growth here in the US and Canada.

I’ve been in and around watches for too long and I have a passion for growing brands from the perspective of the watch collector because I am one too. I’ll be focusing on…

  • Customer service

  • Communication

  • Hands on/in person events

  • Great partnerships

  • True love for the industry

I’m a Brit who is based in Texas and have already organized almost 30 events for 2024

I’m heading to the UK and Switzerland next week to spend time with my colleagues and see the way CW works (almost wrote tick) in both offices and I wondered if there were any questions from you that you would like to know more about?

I’ll be taking a bunch of photos that I’ll share here but let me know if there’s something more specific that you’d like to see.

Thanks all.

Mike

I can't wait to see more of what CW has to offer. Curious if there will be any CW events in the Chicago area. I would love to get some watches on my wrist.

·

Would love an event in SLC to get some in the metal time with a few Christopher Ward watches

·

Congratulations on the new role 👍 Please request a Tonneau type case iteration from CW, something along the lines of Doxa or the new PH1000M from Certina? 🙏

·

Thanks for introducing yourself Mike. You are surely a great value added for the company and will help bringing a lot of joy to CW enthusiast. All the very best with your new journey!

·

Congratulations! Looking forward to seeing what CW has in store!

Great question. I’ll be heading there twice this year. The first time will be April 6th and 7th for a show called Minutes and Hours (used to be Microlux) so look out for that and then myself and the rest of the UK based team (including Mike France) will be in Chicago for this years Wind Up and that’s the 12th - 14th of July!

I’m sure I’ll be around for a beer or two over the summer aswell!

Spoke to the Horological Society of Utah last week and we’ve tentatively put a date down for August 22nd. Search them out online or on social. If you aren’t a member, they are a great bunch.

Excellent! I'll have to check out Minutes and Hours. I will definitely be at Windup. I already took that Friday off from work 😁

·

Congratulations on the new role 🎉

·

Best of luck to you, Mike! Perhaps, you’d like to bring my Bel Canto along to Switzerland that I’ve been waiting for for over a year 😉

·

Hey, anyway you can have them push my Bel Canto to the front of the line. 😂

In all seriousness, congratulations

·

Congrats I just received my copy of the Loupe yesterday. Suggesting to my friends that CW should be considered a independent from here on. Happy your here. Maybe some special editions up your sleeve?

·

Congrats on the job, sounds exciting! Look forward to seeing your posts on here in the future.

·

welcome mike! i just saw the release of the twelve 36 (ti) in cosmic purple and am in love! the dial, cosc certified movement, titanium case and 36mm sizing are all superb! just trying to decide on bracelet or rubber strap, but i'll probably end up getting both :)

i'm in houston, tx. how do i find out about local events? would love to see the watches in the metal.

thank you.

·

The more I see that piece with the blue dial, the more tempted I get!

Definitely do the bracelet but the rubber is a great option for the fun summers you have down there lol

Best of luck with your decision.

First thing I’d do for Houston events is to reach out to your local Red Bar Crew as I’m probably starting there this month BUT I’ll be back lol

Congratulations Mike - fan of CW’s brand, comms, product, messaging, etc! And congrats on engaging w HUNDREDS of replies in under 24 hours!!

2 questions:

  1. Any plans on events in the Philadelphia region?

  2. Would love more video content on the new Sealander GMT 36mm to see the fit/finish with any influencers - not sure if that’s in the works?

Thanks and keep doing what you all are doing!

Thanks so much man. Definitely looking to hit up the City of Brotherly love but nothing concrete in the books just yet.

The sample watches of the 36 GMT have just been sent out to influencers across our network so expect to see content across social platforms and You Tube pretty soon. I’ll try and post things either here or on my IG ( @mikepearson6 )

Thank you again

·

Huge fan of CW! Glad to see there’s a presence here in the US! Looking to add a third CW to my collection this year.

Edit: I see Mike confirmed attendance at this year's event. Original: I know CW was at the Windup Watch Fair in Chicago last summer. I got to try on their watches there. I would expect them to attend again at this year's event. More info: https://windupwatchfair.com/chicago/

I'm sure you'll do great things to increase awareness and the presence of the brand in the U.S. I hope to see CW at the next Dallas Intersect event (2023 held at Jack Mason's office), though I don't know if they're having another one before 2025. Maybe some sort of other event in Dallas? Question: Is there any U.S. based service for CW yet, or are there plans for that? It would be nice to not have to send our watches international if an issue arises.

I’m on it. Thank you so much for the considered questions. Very cool.

This looks like a luxury monster

·

Would love to see an event in the DMV area! Love your watches

·

Welcome! Enjoy the CW brand and would love to see a few models in person to inform a purchasing choice. Event(s) in NYC?

·

Hi, Mike

Are there any plans for a smaller Trident, especially Atoll and Bronze?

Congratulations on the new role.
