Think I’m done for a while.

I’m not saying that I won’t buy anymore watches, I’m not even saying that I won’t buy a new watch next month if I spot a nice piece, I have a problem and have no interest in fixing it😉, I’m just going to stop a looking now.

The recent diver I acquired I feel rounds out my collection quite well and I don’t feel I need anything more. Once my kids are older and passed the breaking stage (assuming that happens) I might start looking at some pricier alternatives, but untill that time I think I’m good.
Of course next week I might spot a watch store I’ve not seen before and then it’s back to exasperating my wife😉.

You have a great collection and I think it must be a wonderful feeling to have contentment. Enjoy it for however long it happens to last 🍻

Thanks I’m not going to guess how this lasts but it’s nice that it’s happened. 😄

Exactly. Enjoy the moment. What will be will be, and if another gem crosses your path tomorrow then so be it 🥂

I've got one too whats the design on the case?

Not sure it’s the Sgian Dubh Heather which I think refers to the case art on the front.

This inner peace that you have found usually lasts about 72 hours.  Use the time wisely to scout out your next purchase.

Thank you. As someone with a bit of experience can you tell me if it’s generally better to warn your partner of this or just surprise them🤷‍♂️

I bought about 20 watches in six months before anyone noticed...and I am the idiot?

If I had a buck for everytime I thought I was done for awhile I'd be wearing a Patek Philippe Sky/Moon Tourbillon.

Im currently trying to repair it. My watchmaker says the mainspring has twisted and that for the price to repair it it'd be cheaper to just but a new watch

Sorry to hear that. Does it have a lot of sentimental value? I have seen quite a few of them but none with that particular design on the case.

Yeah my mum gave it to me on my 14th birthday and it was my first mechanical watch. Even if I can't fix it I think I'll hang on to it
