I probably wear rubber straps most often, but that's probably just out of convenience. I think metal bracelets look the best, but they're often heavy and jangly and cumbersome, and they're no good for physical activity. Rubber straps also usually pair better with a t-shirt and jeans, which is more my style. But when it's time to dress up, no question. It's all about the metal.
seriously though, a properly sized, quality, well engineered bracelet works for almost anything. I love rubber, silicone, tropic style straps for variety. Resin is required for some watches, and I’m ok with that. I have dozens of NATO and Zulu straps, but have fallen out of love with them. I just prefer a bracelet.
leather… I could see a good rally strap on a chrono working, but for me leather straps are best left for when I’m dining at Le Cigare Volant with Niles and Frasier Crane.
I like the comfort of a leather strap or the best (read Omega) rubber strap. However, for daily summertime wear, it’s my bracelets on >100m resistant watches so we can all wash up at the end of the day.
I definitely prefer metal, but lately my skin has been reacting to them. Even my beloved Explorer. Seriously... I haven't worn a metal band in a month and I tried the Explorer today: it only took a few hours to react. This is my one allergy? Watch bracelets? For real?
I'm pretty evenly split between bracelet, leather strap, and rubber strap. I'm also a fan of bund straps, but not really a fan of NATOs. Zulus and single pass straps are cool, but I still prefer them to be leather rather than nylon.
So if the question was what is my least favorite strap that would be a nylon NATO.

Really? That's a bit concerning mate. It's normally copper or zinc the body / skin reacts to. Have you tried titanium?
Deeply down the bottomless watch collecting hole. Love for all types of watches. Looking to share my thoughts and watch purchases with like minded people. my watch interests fall on divers, pilot and...

I voted leather because the best option wasn't listed... MN straps.
For dressy occasions leather is the only option, though I'd take a subdued cloth strap over a bracelet if leather wasn't an option.
Need an "all of the above option."
If it’s not metal, your mental.

I love the metal bracelets right up until I try to change the looks a bit and put it on a leather strap where it stays permanently.
