Congrats!!! I really like this watch on the strap. I have the BB Chrono Panda that has the same dimensions. I also have a 7.5" wrist and the watch wears fine. The thickness is not a problem. Compared to my Omega Seamaster 300M chrono, the Tudor Panda is a lightweight!
I very nearly pulled the trigger on the Santos large. I'm concerned about the scratches as well. I can say due to the slimness of the case provides some protection. Something I considered doing was picking up a spare bezel and brush it with my dremmel or keep it as a spare polished version I could swap out from time to time. You can pick them up for about $150 on the Fleabay.
I wish Tudor would use ceramic bezels...yes, I understand that's a Rolex differentiator, but if micro brands can do it, Tudor should. It's not like Rolex would be impacted at all.
This past year needs another level higher for me. I've done a ton of consolidation for higher end fewer pieces, but I'm still looking at a full watch box with about 15 watches seeing most of the wear time. I have another dozen that don't get much wear time, but I'm not ready to part with them.
