Mundane Monday poll!!! I haven't done this in a while, this is a whimsical poll where I ask you to choose your favorite watch and why not give your reasons for why you chose what you chose in the comments section...As usual this is just for fun ๐ and feel free to vote in the previous polls ๐ค

I have a Speedy homage and love it for wonderful contrast and easy reading, even in extremely low light. One of these days I'll get the real thing but in the meantime my homage is just fine.

Tbh all the choices are great, and none come cheap. I'd love to own them all. I'm a massive speedy fan, and yes the moonswatch gas strengthened by resolve to own one. I feel if I get a speedy I will not need another chronograph. And I'm not sure that is a good thing ๐
Speedy this speedy that, the glass box is where itโs at. ๐
Blancpain Fifthy Fathoms Bathyscaphe!
I would say Speedmaster or one from Breitling!

Nice change, this hasn't popped up on my radar

I like the Breitling premier. I have tried the navitimer on too
The Speedmaster is uninspiring to me.

Flyback and full ceramic case. Very special but perfect for my wrist ๐๐ I'll definitely treat myself to one at some point.๐ณ

That's fine, what chronographs inspire you. I like the longines big eye aviator and Steinharts Chronos are pretty cool too. Originally I was dead set on the Hamilton chronomatic panda
My Pitzmann III
I'm surprised no one has suggested AP royal Oak chromo, or Rolex Daytona. I mean I wouldn't say no to them however I feel I would need to baby them which would defeat the purpose of a Chrono "to me"
My Pitzmann III
It's actually a great looking watch with a caliber 8R48 inside. I believe it's in seikos more expensive Chronos and I hear good things about it. Thanks for sharing the pic buddy.
Breguet Type XX, I also love the FOIS version of the Speedmaster, alpha style hands, no crown guards, looks a bit more vintage and dressy IMO.
Titoni Heritage
Iโm a Tag fan but Omega is superior and iconic of course.
Navitimer from Breitling.. With B01 movement
Fortis Stratoliner is so so pretty:
and this Tissot Navigator with a central seconds/minutes:
That looks awesome Mel - what's the thickness (it looks pretty thin considering the complications)
Thanks Blake - believe it or not...it's only 12.6mm!
Same as the other Chronomaster Originals.
Very comfortable watch to wear at 38mm case size and definitely cuff friendly.
Longines Big Eye is also great.
The Carrera if you prefer the smaller case size, the Speedy if you prefer the larger case size. They both look incredible, tbh
I can't afford it, but if I did have the money I would get a Fortis stratoliner.

Wow - I'm going to have to check this one out further. Thanks Mel.

Nice pick, I forgot about this
You're correct, the Pitzmann has the NE88 movement, which is the designation for the 8R48 used in non Seiko watches. Also my Pitzmann was $1300 at launch price compared to the $2300-2600 retail for the Seiko Speedtimer automatics, also the Pitzmann has smaller, more wearable dimensions than the Seikos and arguably better dial finishing and details as well ๐๐ฝ
I have the movement in my Zeppelin Chronograph, also heard and read only positives about it.
They also have an in house movement as well, the T10 i think. I have seen watches with it go for under 2k CHF.
Mine are extremely accurate.
And the on the fly adjustment on the Seascoper bracelet is really slick ๐
Speedy all the way! And if you donโt want to drop the coin on an Omega, the Bulova Lunar Pilot is a great option.
Zenith Chronomaster Revival
Any Breitlings ๐
