Chronograph Recommendations - Update
I asked the WC community for chronograph recommendations. I was focusing on a dressier version of a chrono (Tissot Telemeter) but knew very little about them beyond the obvious. I ended up with a different (and in my opinion better) watch than I set out to buy.
After a period of analysis paralysis, I visited a few stores in NYC where I tried on Tissot, Longines, Omegas and Tags. I passed.
As for German brands, I was fixated on the Junghans Meister Pilot, Hanhart 417 ES (42mm) and Hanhart TachyTele Black Dial based on Cruncher input and some independent research (including a call to my favorite AD).
It was a difficult decision, but I am drawn to the telemeter '30s/'40s style and selected the TachyTele. The dial is exceptional, the 40mm sits perfectly on my wrist and I wear it on an XL strap I received at no additional charge! The folks at Watchbuys are great.

I am not much of a chrono guy, but Hanhart has had my eye this year... Maybe a 2024 thing for me.
Love the sporty strap, the face makes me feel like it's something out of a vintage movie!!
