Thanks! Today I tried all my watches and realized the Sea-Dweller is uncomfortable compared to the others. The bracelet is pretty light and the case is too heavy. So it might be the one to say good bye 😊
Both are made for showing off and are highly overpriced. RM makes factory movements and Hublot uses cheap ETA movements and „improves“ them. I‘ve heard RM watches are very lightweighted and because they make at least nice movements, I can give RM a little bit respect. But Hublot is Hublot… a VOLKSWAGEN GOLF in a Porsche-like dress.
I missed buying a Rolex Hulk before it was discontinued and fell in love with green dials. IWC looks awesome with the leather strap and it’s a watch with a nice story behind it. Maybe now it may be easier to get an Oyster Perpetual from an AD. My AD offered me a 31mm green dial last month, although I wasn’t on any list. I think the hype for green dial OP is over and it’s more and more possible to get it at regular retail price.
In 2018 I was looking for a vintage DJ. Back then, I didn’t wear my Sea Dweller and Navitimer in the office or when I had meetings with my clients. I didn’t want other people to be jealous or put in a drawer („it must be a fake watch“ or „oh, maybe he was a drug dealer im the past“). Vintage DJ‘s were around 2.000€ to 3.000€ back then and I told myself, everybody will think it’s my Dad’s watch or I saved 2.000€ to buy a watch. Well, long story short: I started wearing my watches at my job and didn’t care what others think. But then I missed buying a vintage DJ, which I regret till today. Congrats on your watch. It looks really nice and clean.
