I don't think I've ever seen a two tone seamaster reference from this era before. It's a beautiful watch and those sword hands give me some untoward feelings.

I have owned it for quite sometime .. I dont wear it often but it is a comfortable size. Contimplating putting it on the sale block...but not sure..
Like the two tone!
I've got that same "Electric Blue" dial in full SS. I've never seen it as a two tone before - I'd like to be able to see it in person for comparison. The dial is the star of the show, but I also like the sword hands compared to the normal skeleton hands usually found on the SMP.
I have no thoughts - just drool!

I'm not a big two-tone fan but this is a reason I never say "never". What a cool watch. They really pulled the whole design together by going with gold hands. I am also not a big fan of relief bezels, but once again, this is the right choice on this watch. Thanks for sharing this neat piece! This is why this hobby is so fun. There are always more interesting things to see.

Ouch.....
That dial is absolutely stunning. Don't really see the two tone often! Gorgeous piece sir.

That's a great blue. What's the reference number on this?
it doesn't do it for me
but having something different has it's own appeal
Ouch.....
No, I meant that as a compliment. The man who invented the buoyancy control device had to have had good style.
Two tone goes exceptionally nice with that blue dial…. Lovely piece.
So cool. For my old man taste, this they type of seamaster I’d go in for! The newer ones are a bit to cartoonish, for me.

The reference # is 2255.80.00.00
That dial is often referred to as the "electric blue".
indeed rare, the ref # turns up very little on a google search.
Now I want one.
Now that's a special Seamaster. continue to wear it with love!

I believe it is 24558000

So true..I recently decided to start wearing it in rotation and realized it was to tight (I think it shrunk) or im just getting fat LOL. Anyway this has the gold/stainless bracelet and I searched the world over to get a link...no such luck so i used a stainless one. Its down by the clasp so it isnt noticeable ..It is a interesting piece though..

I had provided the "full" reference# of my SS version as "2255.80.00.00", which is what is shown on the warranty card (albeit without the separating dots). That reference # appears to be too precise for Google - you will get more hits if you search for "2255.80" or simply "Omega electric blue".

If you do give me a shout out
Bob..this is going on the block if you have any interest..
