Ladies gmt for the wife.

So I was talking to my wife. She's an business attorney who works in a different timezone than the home office for her job. So she wants to have a gmt that 1) fits her tiny wrist, 2) fits in a business/law/corporate setting. Any thoughts?

I like the watch but the color way may not be appropriate for the work setting which tends to be more monochromatic (white, black, blue, etc)

·

digital will be easier to read for her with it always displayed and in a smaller footprint than with a bezel.

I forgot about that one -- great choice.

·

This is on point! I'll see what she thinks.

·

Is she cool with an automatic or would she prefer quartz? It's probably the single most important question.

·

It's a beautiful watch and I don't see why it would not be appropriate for ANY setting.

No. She just needs it to work in higher end circles. A couple worker said she should have "at least an omega." Folks in her industry are sadly snobbish.

Yup. The Pasha GMT that @mrwindupbird referenced would be my pick. It's a serious looker and great on wrist.

I might also take a look at things like the vintage Chopard Dual times which accomplish the same thing

Sorry, my comment sounds like a word salad. Just had a 3rd kid. No sleep. So my typing is off.

I would rock that watch tomorrow in any professional setting if I did not have another Farer on the way. I think it would absolutely work in her setting and would be a great conversation starter if anyone happened to notice it (they probably wont).

It's funny. I just grabbed that because i was browsing farer watches. I wasn't actually thinking of that one. But if she likes it...

It is an awesome watch. I would never buy it for my wife because it would not make it out of my watch box. :-)

As it happens, I might know a thing or two about third kids and present incoherence....mine was born two weeks ago.

I have heard the opinion that if the lawyers in the firm are liked by other colleagues, then they are doing something wrong. My understanding is that lawyers are often seen as show stoppers because they usually put obstacles in the way of other people's ideas, they find problems where others can't see them

Therefore, it would be appropriate in such an environment to wear something so that it has an adequate effect when alerting colleagues, and that is why I suggest this

Since I couldn't find the gmt alarm clock, I suggest getting two pieces

Try the Farer Lander IV 36mm GMT with a Milanese bracelet. It's the most subdued dial colour amongst the 3 Farer sold.

This is the way!

The Baltic Aquascaphe GMT could be a contender!

Casio worldtimer, AE1200WH. All the features she needs plus 5 alarms, 100 meters water resist, chrono and countdown timer. All for less than $40.00 dollars. Boom!

That's insane value for the money yet I don't think that fits the poster's second requirement 😅

I think it will meet that requirement given how many people in that business setting or corporate setting wear Apple Watches.

If she's looking for something understated but classy...

Nomos for the win.

I absolutely love that watch and plan to get one for myself. I also have a small. wrist. I spoke to a watchmaker about it a couple of weeks ago. He said he's handled one recently and thinks it's a great watch for the money.
