The Peter Blake

I had to have a Seamaster 300m professional, I realised it was the scalloped bezel which really draws me to this watch: As they all have scalloped bezels I had quite a choice to pick from over the last 30 years. That was until I became aware of the 2254.50 (Peter Blake) then it had to be this one, and nothing else would do.

My search started with EBay and Chrono24, but then one popped up on Watchfinder. Yes it was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but not a huge amount. Fully serviced and a 2 year warranty, box and certs it started to feel like a no brainier.

Two weeks ago I put down a deposit; and today I picked it up from Watchfinder Bicester Village having been very well looked after throughout by Karan who was the nicest and most helpful man.

I’m chuffed to bits to say the least🙂

Thank you, it’s going to be a long honeymoon with this one🙂

Sir Peter Blake an icon of the world of the sea and yatch racing and Omega - you have greatness on your wrist. Congratulations

·

Congratulations! 🎉

It's also my favorite Seamaster. 👏

·

A great looking Seamaster would love to add one to my SMP at some point congratulations and sounds like you got a nice example

·

Congrats! The Peter Blake SMP is the hidden gem within the SMP lineup. I had the Bond SMP from the same era with the blue dial for a few years. Loved that watch, but my next SMP will be the Peter Blake. The black dial with sword hands is just too good!

·

I agree. The best. 👌

My first nice watch when I turned 30. It’s now 23 years old 😀

·

Absolutely great!

·

Awesome Seamaster. I want the quartz model.

·

Gorgeous. It’s between this, the 2225.80, or the Tudor P39 for my first (and likely only) luxury diver.

·

I have the Blake SMP and the the Blake SMP in Titanium. I absolutely LOVE them both!!! In sword hands we trust!!! Welcome to the family, wear it in good health.

That’s the watch I though I might buy, the Bond SMP, but when I stumbled across the Blake, it was like, Bond you are dead to me. I’m English too so that’s hard for me to say.

I’m really happy with it, seems like a good example. I’m not an expert but I think I’ve done enough to know know it’s a good watch 🙂
