Random perhaps dumb question for my fellow WCers: What is the length of a 16mm width GS Buckle?
Getting a custom strap done, know the width of my buckle is 16mm but I don't have a ruler and the measure apps I tried fail so wondering if anyone knows the exact length of these buckles?

Agree, odd and seemingly spurious measurement re a strap?!
I would think it’s necessary for a custom sizing since this would be a defining measurement as to where the prong would connect to the hole and thus the overall correct circumference of the strap.

Which reference is the watch? GS buckles come in 16mm and 18mm

Guessing it has something to do with the taper and first hole measurement. Even on first hole you'd want the taper to be clear of the buckle 🤷

In theory you are correct but the difference between the GS and any other buckle is likely very small.
😅 is he measuring it to the millimetre? Although I admire the dedication, that seems futile since the wrist will contract and expand a little during the day.
