Go figure
I have a really nice collection of watches, including an absolutely stunning Grand Seiko, two gorgeous Tag Heuer Carreras and an extraordinary Raymond Weil Basquiat Edition Chronograph. But whenever I wear the least expensive and least well made watch in my collection, the Movado Bold Fusion is the one that people remark on.

That Movados nice but that RW has really caught my eye, but I like a busy dial.
Same experience. 99% of people have no idea and don’t care what watch or brand you are wearing. If it’s a Rolex they may know it’s expensive/nice…anything else, not a chance!
I hope that you didn't buy these watches for what others may think of them...
Sometimes people will comment on my Rolexes, Omegas or my vintage regatta timer but people always compliment my $35 timex weekender chrono. I think it says a lot about Timex simple approachable design.
The watch I got the most comments on was my SKX013. The most common comment was “Is that a Rolex?” 🤣

You've legit got all the watches I'd like to at least start with. Even the movado, though I too have my reservations on quality in that one. It reinvigerated my endless search into watches because it's sporty yet classy.

I love that RW. Basquiat is my favorite artist of the 20th century and the watch has so many nods to his artistry.

Actually I did, at least partially. I mean the main motivation is my love and desire for a watch but I do want to look good.

Nathan George Horwitt had a great iconic design. Movado copied (and was sued) by the artist.
