Our family has a weird passion for Longines. Everyone in the family - grandparents, parents, cousins - has at least one Longines, except for me. My mom owns three Longines actually...
Now, there are the two watches from Longines that I really like and probably make a purchase by the end of the year:
Option 1, Heritage Flagship Moonphase : Blue dial, Moonphase and date, 38.5mm diameter, 12.4mm thickness (photo: aBlogToWatch)
Option 2, Master Collection Small Seconds: White dial with blue hands, engraved dial, 38.5mm diameter, 10.2mm thickness (photo: SJX Watches)
There is a $500 price difference between those two, but that really does not factor in for me. Also, the resemblance of Option 1 to JLC Ultra-thin Moon does not matter to me.
What are your thoughts?
I voted for the small seconds watch. I really like both, but unless it's a watch you wear daily, it will be a pain to keep the moon phase set correctly.
B as it is thinner, has a nicer dial and hands in my opinion and has no date.
I’m no help here. Those are both terrific watches. You can’t go wrong here.
The moonphase if it’s apart of your rotation; master collection if it’s not 👍
A moon phase is almost totally useless and I love them. It’s romantic.

Agreed.
Both absolutely killer
Good with the moon phase. It calls out to me more for some reason.
I have the salmon dial. It's great.
You can't go wrong with either of them really! great stuff
White dial with blue hands gets me every time!
The master collection should be named master pieces collection because they are exquisite, but the new Flagship Moonphase totally got me 😘🤌🏼
Both are fantastic watches. The Longines looks like a Hamilton I own.
