After 6 months of waiting, I finally recieved my Bel Canto from Christopher Ward. Based on the serial number, I was very close to miss the chance to buy the blue dial version. The shipment was delayed multiple times and sent two months later than what was promised. It was also a mess to get through the customs (DHL was not satisfied with the info provided from CW and it took almost a week to get the clearance), but I'm very happy that I have this watch on my wrist. It is my first titanium watch, and yes, it feels very light despite the size. The sunburst dial looks nicer that what I expected. And the chime! It is beautiful. My cat started sniffing the watch when I was adjusting for time.
It really is an incredible piece and beyond the expectations! This will be my daily watch for a while for sure.

Looks a peach, well done.
I received my mail this morning telling me mine is in production 😁 I’m getting the lite blue on the bracelet and I will get a strap as well, excited.com
What a baller watch.

It will be worth the wait! It should look amazing on the bracelet for sure.
What a baller watch.
It really is! 👍
Congratulations, I have been debating the purple dial version.
Seriously gorgeous watch. I’m waiting on my The Twelve Ti myself.
An absolute stunner - gotta love how CW rocked the industry big boys with this insane watch …and at such incredible value. If you didn’t know CW then, you definitely know them now via this release. Congrats indeed 🤙❤️🤙
What was th issue with customs (DHL)?
Insane looking watch 🤯🔥
What was th issue with customs (DHL)?
DHL was requesting for specific dollar value breakdown for the movement, case, and strap for the U.S. customs. CW customer service kept providing only the lump sum, and DHL rejected the form every time. CW said that the form they provided only with the lump sum worked in the past but DHL was not letting it go. I was having phone calls with CW at 5 AM here for multiple days. CW customer service had multiple phone calls/email exchanges with the DHL staff who was in charge of it, and it seemed that they finally agreed. But DHL kept their staffs rotating and the new staffs were rejecting the form provided from CW again. This has dragged on for almost a week, and I was getting a warning from DHL that if it is not cleared by a specific date, they will be returning it to England (there were basically two days left). It was a ton of a mess.

Interesting.. because that movement SW200-1 is off the shelf and millions of watches with are shipped world wide with it. Typically DHL/customs will breakdown the watch duties as case, strap and movement. On the movement it's a flat fee based on the type of movement not the value, ie a $100 watch vs $5k watch with SW200 its the same duties on the movement. Sorry to hear about your experience, and thanks for sharing this, it's good to know DHL has some door knobs working there. iirc there is a way for you to fill out the customs forms yourself, this is what you do when you "import" watches you bought outside the US. May be you could have filled out that form and sent it to them. Fedex has a watch worksheet for example: https://www.fedex.com/content/dam/fedex/eu-europe/resources/GB_EN_2021_12_master_pdf_NA_Watch_Worksheet_marketing.pdf
Also DHL has one

Saw it in person at WindUp and it is magnificent! Congrats!
That is a future classic, what a superb complication in a small wristwatch👍
