First Post! SOTC 🤙🏾

Hello, Watchfam and happy Sunday! This is my first post on this awesome community 🍾I wanted it to be my current SOTC:

  1. Most recent acquisition the Glashütte Original SeaQ 39.5mm in Reed Green! Bought it after dreaming of it for over two years. After seeing an awesome pre-owned piece at a great price, couldn’t resist the deal for my 30th birthday! (Coming up in a few days). I love this piece and have been wearing it non-stop for over a month! Currently wearing it on an Omega Style NTTD steel mesh.

  2. Omega Speedmaster Chronoscope Silrver Panda with red accents. Bought this about 18 months ago and can’t really imagine selling! For 5 years, I knew I wanted a Speedy but, I didn’t have the funds/was overwhelmed with options. When this one was released in 2021, I just knew it was the one for me. Loved its dial/vintage look/arabic numerals, awesome movement, and that it’s in a Speedy 3861 professional case. Once I saw a great priced piece from Chrono24 Japan, had to do it! Everytime I wear it, I fall in love with it again 🤘🏾

  3. Longines Spirit Zulutime 39mm in Blue: I have a history with the the Spirit line. Owned the 40mm in blue, 37mm champagne, green zulutime 42, green zulutime 39mm, and now this piece. This case spirit with these dimensions is my favorite. It’s also my current favorite GMT under $5k. Bought the same time I bought the GO because I didn’t want two green watches in the collection. Love wearing it! The blue dial is definitely more dressy than the anthracite/green bezel model.

  4. Tissot Le Locle Powermatic 80 40mm gold case champagne dial. This was my wedding watch! I wanted a piece that matches the gold wedding band but didn’t want to spend gold money lol it definitely looks the part as a dressy gold watch. Very vintage inspired with the machined guilloche dial. Piece is 2.5 years old and I wear it on important occasions. I have had it on a 19mm gold buckle black shell cordovan strap from Delugs

  5. Mini Steel Casioak. Bought on a trip from Japan as a commemoration of the trip back in January. My beater piece that I wear doing stuff around the house, running errands, excersizing, Etc…

My train of thought is that I wanted a dive watch, chronograph, GMT, dress piece, and a beater. I don’t usually wear any suits so the sports pieces fit my lifestyle perfectly. It’s clear over time that I like Arabic numerals!

What do you guys think! Anything to swap out? Anything to add?

Thank you!

The Glashütte on a mesh strap is absolute fire!

The skin diver case just makes it work so well on many straps!

I agree with everyone, that’s a beautiful collection and I think the Sea Q looks incredible and goes really well on the mesh. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you sir! I always thought the mesh would be divisive but I’m happy y’all agree with me lol

Gorgeous collection 👏🏻👏🏻 unique and beautiful pieces! Love the Omega and the GOCQ 👌🏻

You can think about adding something with a different case shape, like a Cartier Tank or a JLC Reversi, or something in tonneau

A panerai could be and a great addition to your collection, if you aim to those realms 🤓

Very nice collection. Thoughtfully curated and stylish. Try the Citizen Promaster Tough for your beater.

·

Welcome. A fine collection.

This is a very well executed post. Welcome and thanks for showing us what you have. The Zulu Time is my favourite, but that GO is gorgeous.

I love your collection man. I too own a Zulutime, but I have the 42mm Anthracite. I agree the blue is much more versatile. I would love it in 39mm, but the 21mm lug width is a turn off, especially for me who love to swap straps. I like the fact that you have a well curated, 1 brand, 1 type, 1 color collection. I try to do the same thing, but my collection has ballooned to 11 pieces. I envy they your collection can stay so small.

Since you asked, I would probably add a GADA watch. A Go anywhere Do anything piece that's super versatile. Something that doesn't have a pronounced bezel. A watch that if you go away for a weekend (not necessarily a flight) and can only grab 1 watch, it would be that one.

All in all, great collection.

Zulutime buddies! You’re right the 21mm lugs are pretty annoying but I just love the proportions of it on my wrist.

Good point I’ve been coming to terms with the fact that I probably could use a daily no complication or bezel piece. Leaning towards the silver dial VPC but will see when I have the budget

VPC?

VPC?

Yeah it’s a brand made by a journalist who basically wrote about every step in the process and the reasoning for certain things. He came up with cracking GADA that means slightly dressy but very capable

Likewise, friend. You are home, here.
