Which one would you choose ?

Green dials now if done right is my favourite as of right now ๐Ÿ˜† both are absolute gorgeous with almost similar specs except for the movement which I would believe CW has the edge on. Price difference is 300$ with Baltic being cheaper. CW having 5 years of guarantee is a plus for sure.

Love green dials. Both look great but I would defer to the CW. I own both a CW and Baltic and the C. Ward's quality is far better in my opinion.

ยท

CW even with the premium...

ยท

Can't go wrong with either one I personally like the dial on the Baltic but definitely wouldn't want to pass up a good deal either

It is one of these cases in which the movement is the thing that makes the difference in price. The CW carries a Sellita SW200-1 and the Baltic carries a Miyota 9039. Both high-beat movements, higher power reserve on the Miyota, no rotor wobble with the Sellitaโ€ฆ it is a factor to think of, if you care about what movements are built in your watches.

Baltic. I love a 3,6,9,12 dial! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

ยท

CW look galant

1: Which size do you prefer: 37mm/10.8mm/46L2L (Baltic) or 39mm/11.25/45.8L2L (CW)

2: Do you prefer Arabic numerals or baton indices on field watches? (CW doesn't look like a classic field watch to me.)

3: What's your view on the recessed crown?

4: Thoughts on lume? I think the Baltic wins.

5: I like the distressed look of the CW dial a touch more than the hermetique, but the Baltic's classic green dial color in combination with the chemin de fer, proportions and IWC connection would lead me to choose it over the CW.

ยท

CW, no contest for me. Wouldn't consider Baltic at all.

ยท

In terms of dial, I prefer the Baltic, but the CW is killer as well. I probably wouldnโ€™t be able to get over the bracelet in the Baltic (not a fan) so Iโ€™d go with the CW.

There are options for another bracelet or FKM strap. Anyway I'm not buying either soon since I'll save up money to buy them. I have time to think ๐Ÿ˜†

ยท

I'd choose the Baltic if I weren't so sick of cardinal point numerical indices. Actually the crown is much tidier, so still Baltic.

ยท

Both are lovely, but the Sealander would be my preference. I bought my Mrs the Sealander with the Mulberry red dial. Iโ€™d wear it if i could. The finish on the CWs is so so goodโ€ฆ to me it also looks the more expensive and more elegant watch.

Good luck

ยท

The Baltic! ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

ยท

CW

ยท

Look wise I love the Baltic more. I tried it on during the Windup event in NYC and the watch looks and feels absolutely fantastic. The downside really is the movement but at least they are using a reliable movement with this watch instead of the seagull in other lines.

ยท

Both good but CW C63 would win objectively and its British so obviously gets my vote!

ยท

CW for me ๐Ÿ‘

ยท

CW probably

ยท

10% off Christopher ward this weekend as part of there blue weekend

ยท

I think it's that they are donating 10% of sales to the blue marine foundation rather than a 10% discount.

ยท

That Baltic is more Svelte if that matters to you.

ยท

I love that Baltic though, the blocks of lume are just classy ๐ŸคŒ๐Ÿผ

ยท

Get the CW. Every watch in cwโ€™s current collection feels very solid. I got a chance to handle the Baltic at wind up and was disappointed at the bead of rice bracelet. Was a little jangly and the edges felt a little sharp in comparison to San martins beads of rice bracelets on their $250 watches or even something from Strapcode.

ยท

The CW definitely. Worth the extra dollars too

ยท

Christopher Ward all day. I have a black one. They are fantastic.

ยท

Tough choice. love the 369 dial on the baltic, but I am a fan of CW. Nope... I can't help you here ๐Ÿ˜†

ยท

I love my CW ๐Ÿ˜

You can't go wrong

I have the same CW on manufacture strap (quite comfortable) like @Stefano13, as well as a Baltic Dual-Crown (obviously not the same as above), and Iโ€™d say the CW with the Hunter green dial is more special b/c each dial is different due to the Hunter green.

Although between the 2, the CW looks more rugged, where the Baltic looks more refined ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿผ

Gโ€™luck ๐Ÿ˜‰

You can't go wrong with either choice so it comes down to taste.

To add to the mix, Traska makes beautiful watches at excellent prices. The watches have an anti-scratch protective layer, which is a strong plus.

I've been eyeing the two below. The first is a GMT with a bottle green dial. The second a three-hander with a sunburst olive green dial. They have different sizes available too.
