My first sub-collection - issued British Military watches

I feel like a proper collector now I have a sub collection in my collection! A whole box of (ok five) British military watches. One mechanical Hamilton, and four various quartz references from CWC and Seiko/Pulsar! Three W10/G10 field watches and two chronographs.

They date from 1976, 1984, 1990, 1999 and 2018!

Some observations:

  • The seiko RAF gen 1 chrono is super nice - and suits the smaller wristed gentleman like myself

  • The Pulsar G10 - despite being worth less than £100 - has a great case shape, lug width, awesome dial, and a more robust glass crystal - grab one before they get trendy!

  • The Hamilton is the best of the lot, lovely winding action and I adore the broad arrow on the dial.

Now to buy some more NATOs.

That’s an awesome sub-collection with some great history behind them 💪 the Seiko looks great. Just need to pick up some military divers next to complete the set 😜

Is the cwc a dirty dozen?

Is the cwc a dirty dozen?

No it’s a lot newer than that.. the dirty dozen were issued in WW2 - the oldest of these watches are from 1976..

Nice to see the old G10. #crownandbuckle for some excellent quality straps or #barkandjack

That Pulsar Chrono is rad!

That Pulsar Chrono is rad!

Isn’t it? And so much watch for the money (about £400 for an issued one!)

That said it’s a little big for my small wrists - whereas the 1984 seiko is 👨‍🍳💋

That’s a worth while collection one of the best field watches out there.
