+1 for the Omega 300. The newly released version has no signs of fauxtina as OP requested, but I love the Trilogy version personally.
I really want to love this watch, but the height of this watch is a little too thick for my tastes. would recommend to the OP to try o first if possible.
Unfortunately Most standard home insurance policies have limits on watches and jewellery. You might get $5k total. You can add riders to cover a specific watch or watches (the item is specifically named), which is pricey but gives peace of mind. Alternatively, a popular watch website and online retailer has insurance for watches too.
Get a custom/bespoke strap made. I’ve also purchased from Tun’s leather in Etsy and price/quality has been solid. Added bonus is the quick release so you can keep tools away from the polished metal.
aside, what’s the estimated wait time? Looks like they’re trickling in after not even taking names.
