What do crunchers really think about Rolex in their collections.

I've gone for D. Once upon a time I had an interest in acquiring a Rolex. But the way Rolex stock has been managed by either Rolex themselves, the ADs or whoever else has had their finger in the pie and the way some AD's have tried acting like gods deciding who is and isn't worthy of owning a Rolex. That and the value other brands seem to offer in comparison have completely turned me off them.

You forgot “buy/own/wear what you like”.

I'd love to have a few. But my bank account would beg to differ. Not that I'd be able to get one at will if my bank account agreed with me anyway. 😂

I would've chosen D in the past because of all the hype.  As I learn more and more about watches and the history there of, I've come to appreciate them for what they are and not what they represent. So now I'm "E", I'd like to add one to my collection one day.  (Not above retail though)

I chose C, cuz that's closest to what the reality is.

Can I afford a Rolex? No, so I'm mostly uninterested.

But... if I had the means, I would likely want only a Daytona

E, it’s not a must, but if anyone wants one, all the power to them.

Not in my budget right now. But honestly there's a couple I wouldn't mind owning.

Agreed.  Universal statements about other people’s preferences are silly.

I didnt think it was silly Davemcc. I learnt that despite all the Rolex hype that even in an enthusiast forum Rolex doesnt have so much interest. Thanks for the late negative comment. You missed the point Dave.
