Quite a year of consolidation and figuring out what I like and don't. Less focus on inexpensive quartz items and more on quality mechanicals.
Notable departures include:
Longines Hydro Conquest - 44mm was too big and didn't like the large crown guard
Tissot PRX 516 chronograph - too thick and loud movement
Sinn 556 - I kind of regret this one. Thought it was a tad small at 38mm. But looking back I liked everything else about it and was splitting hairs. 40mm would have been perfect.
I'm enjoying the adventure and making sure I 100% like something to justify keeping it.

I'm in the same boat. Trying to decide what to keep and sell. IE. What I really love and will wear. I'm on the fence about my 556.

I still love Sinn and have a U1 coming.

The hard part is in selling the watches. You always get the guys who wasn't to low-ball you (offer you a quarter, the lint in their pocket, and 4 box-tops) or the guys who want tons of pictures and info, to only be ghosted.

I've mostly done Ebay auctions and dont allow offers. Least fuss.
Total collection turnover, several times, in 2023. I don't own a single watch that I haven't purchased in the since before the end of June 2023.

Do you set a minimum or no reserve?

I set a minimum bid and run no reserve.

How did you sell them?

BTW, I love the 556, the reason I'm considering selling it is because I'm nervous about banging it sand scratching the outer A/R coating (I don't baby my watches, they are to be worn).

Scratches to outer AR are only noticeable under some lighting conditions, I wouldn't sell a watch I like over fear of it.
How did you sell them?
3-4 micros via FB micro sales group. Everything else via eBay. I refuse to sell on WUS and deal with low-balling turds. Don't have any experience doing so on Reddit, sadly.

Tell that to the Breitling SuperOcean I owned. Really pissed me off.
Just went through this myself. Reduced my collection by probably closer to 80%.
In case you can’t get over the 556, the 856 is a 40mm version of the 556.
I’m glad to hear you’ve got a U1 coming in. I’ve had two 556 models that didn’t stick but I don’t think I’ll let my U50 go. It’s an incredible watch.
That’s my goal when I grow up..
More power to you !
Since I bought my The Citizen Washi dial Chronomaster a few months back, I have come to realise that I could live with 4/5 watches, not 10
At the same time, I don't want to part with my '98 SpeedMaster or my BB58, because I know I'm going to get scalped by the pre-owned dealer and don't want the hassle of eBay or Chrono24

Notable ones include Omega Seamaster 300M, Tudor Black Bay Heritage, Tissot PRX, Oris Big Crown Pro Pilot, and Hamilton Khaki Navy Pioneer.
Well done! I need to do the same thing, but I’m not sure how to start. I didn’t think of EBay as an way to do it.
