I never bought that 30th birthday dive watch I've been looking for after months of agonizing over every detail. I've bounced around from San Martin to Steinhart to other brands, and I think I've settled on Glycine for a value proposition.
The bronze case is 399 with the steel being 319, both of them sporting an ETA 2824, and already I find them to be better value than the nearly 600 dollar Steinhart equivalent. I'm finding that I'm nitpicking every detail, like that date window but it's definitely a decent complication to have.

I'm a flight instructor with a healthy obsession with watches of all shapes and prices.
Wow that is an interesting date window, it's really cool! I like the watch, there's something very Superman about it, but not really.
The Glycine you show here is a nice watch! The placement of the date window is certainly different, but the dark font is what gets me. With that said, I feel like the Glycine would be a worthy 30th birthday watch!
Certainly, over the San Martin. They're nice, but I'd rather have Swiss than Chinese. (But like both!)
The bronze & blue Glycine is the better choice IMO.
As a Glycine owner (GL0076) I can assure you it’s a very good brand for the money
The Glycine is a good choice, particularly if you can get it with the two straps.
as a glycine owner i can assure you its a great watch, not that steinhart is bad ( i've experience both ) but in terms of originality on the design i vouch for glycine. i suggest you pick the one with bracelet, if you want to change to leather or other strap there are many aftermarket option
Take it from a Glycine owner -- you can't go wrong with them.

A few other brands place the date window in that position, like Sinn with their 516. I quite like it.
