Just went and had a look, yes, awesome, I would want one. That slim bezel looks 🔥

·

I don't have that model, but I have five other CWs. CW makes solid watches, with excellent finishing.

If you like the style, you're likely to love the watch when it arrives. If you don't, send it back with their 60/60 warranty.

·

I have the 300 amazing watch! The quality and finish for the price is amazing!!

Sorry no CW for me.

I purchased a CW GMT a few Christmas’ back and was sorely disappointed. I cannot remember the model # but it had a beautiful black dial, a silver non rotating 24hr bezel and a traditional big bright orange GMT pointer hand. As I am older, I fell hard for all that glory days of PAN-AM 60s air travel BS.

Well long story short, the watch was literally DOA at my doorstep. It was an automatic and wouldn’t self wind on the wrist. I was so disgusted I contacted customer service within 48hrs to get a return/refund code, packed it up and shipped it back.

NEVER purchased a micro brand prior to CW and never will again.

The Trident Pro 300 was the first Christopher Ward watch I ever bought for £300. I thought it was fantastic value for money & still do. It immediately saw me buying multiple other CW models, the next being the Trident Pro 600 which I still have & wear. At one point I had 8-10, now I have 4 but that reduction in no way reflects how much I love the company & their watches.

·

Ive got the C60 600, it is superb. If you go online or look on Ward Hoard, you can pick one up used ( usually in mint condition ) for half price or near as dam it. A C60 blue sapphire just sold for 550 , thats half price, and an amazing watch for the money.

·

I have the current model of the CW Trident 300 Pro with the thinner bezel. I love mine. I have 4 CW and never had an issue with any of them.

·

I don't think you would be disappointed if you got one, they also have an end of year sale which may be worth waiting for. Being from the USA you might be able to get a Monta for a better price.

·

I have just this week received my #christopherward C60 Atoll and I can tell you from the buying to receiving and wearing only for 2 days I’m very happy with mine.

They are better watches than there price point suggests, They look and wear great. For me they are definitely worth the money and if you don’t like them you’ve got 60 days to return and a 5 year warranty if you keep it. There are plenty of big brands who only offer 2 years, they obviously have a lot confidence in there watches.

I do not quite understand why #monta is not equally popular as #christopherward .

·

I have the blue 38mm version. It really is one of my favorite watches.

I would say they are but in different parts of the world. In the UK I can pick up a CW for around 1/4 the price of a Monta but I believe in USA they are comparable in price.

I own this one;

It's a really nice watch;

I'd get it on the bracelet as CW bracelets are very good quality & easily changed out for other straps due to their quick release feature.

I really regret selling this model;

I really liked this watch. Very comfortable to wear. A nice size for my wrist & a decent weight to it. It was just a great every day watch that sold within an hour of being listed on eBay. The blue dial is very nice also.

If I were buying one today, I'd probably go for this;

https://www.christopherward.com/watches/c63-sealander-gmt/C63-39AGM3-S00V1-B0.html

I think the white dial really pops. The GMT function isn't of any interest to me, I just love the look of the watch.

I'm not a fan of the Aquitane & have never owned one. I can't pass any judgement on it other than I'm sure it's of at least comparable quality to the others.

I suppose it all depends on your size & dial colour preference. I prefer the CW watches that are upto 40mm case size. I think my Trident Pro 300 was 41mm at the time.

If I had to pick one of the 3, I'd opt for the C60 Atoll with the shark white dial. I love the bezel on the watch which is copied straight from the Rolex Yachtmaster. Honestly though, any of the above are great watches for the money.

This could happen to literally any mailed watch, and it sounds like they were very willing to accept your return, or a replacement if you'd requested one instead. I don't own any CW watches, but this anecdote of yours doesn't even strike me as a negative. I'm more confident now that if something was wrong with my watch when it arrived, they would assist me.

The sealander gmt model looks sharp like that

·

Owned one, loved it except the crown dug into the back of my hand. Sold it as a result.

It's very like the Rolex Explorer 2, which I like a lot.

Extremely good watch for the price. Good looking, multiple colors, solid movement, very good bracelet, etc

You should have a look at this upload from The Mad Watch Collector. 2 of the 3 watches we've spoken about are reviewed in this clip.

Calling me a liar isn't a very useful way to respond to a comment that wasn't attacking you. We just see things differently. I don't have any skin in this game. I just think that shit happens, and a story about good customer service makes me more interested, not less. No company has zero lemons, shipping can be rough for fragile items, and a sample size of one is pretty small considering their popularity.

You've been here for two days and your first post is a complaint. Way to introduce yourself.

Your issue here is not with microbrands, it's not with CW, it's (likely) with the shipping company.

From your comment, it sounds like CW accepted your return and refunded you. I see no issue here. None whatsoever.

WOW …didn’t know I stepped into an echo chamber reserve ONLY for CW FANBOYS

I've had my C60 Trident Pro 300 (40mm, black, bader bracelet) for about three months now. Below are my thoughts.

First of all a little background: I've been collecting watches for around 25 years and for the first decade or more I leaned heavily towards dive watches. I've bought and sold dozens and while my collection has definitely branched out over the years divers still occupy the most slots in my watch box. Presently I have an SKX779, SKX007, Citizen BN151, Citizen Fugu, Breitling SuperOcean Heritage, NTTD Seamaster and Sub Date. So, why add another diver to my collection?

I wanted something as functional as my Sub but with a unique design that wouldn't attract much attention and, preferably was under the $1500 price point. Having never owned a Christopher Ward I figured, why not, and made the purchase in early February.

First the positives: Out of the box there weren't any obvious flaws in craftsmanship the lone exception I'll call a "peculiarity" which I'll discuss more later. Sizing the bracelet was quite easy and, well, it seemed to be everything I had hoped for. The bezel and crown action were both 'fine' and definitely aligned with their price point. Legibility of the dial and hands were also quite good in pretty much all lighting conditions and I'm glad that in person I liked the handset a whole lot better than in pictures. All in all I found it to be a watch to be exactly what it claims to be: a capable, versatile diver.

Having said that there are two issues I have with my C60. The first, I'd consider a nitpick and definitely not a deal breaker but I find the fully lumed bezel pretty much useless. To me it's actually more difficult to read/use that bezel's with a single lumed pip mostly because once the lume begins to fade I find it nearly impossible to tell the "triangle" from the other numbers around the bezel. This seems like a good idea (love this on my NTTD Seamaster) that isn't well executed.

The second issue is two-fold and has, over time, caused me to wear the watch less and less. First of all I'll get the 'peculiar' part out of the way and that is the physical appearance of the steel and how it differs from the case. I'm not sure if this has to do with the composition of the metals or their finishing but, there is a noticeable difference in the two steels. Thinking back I don't know that I've ever experienced this before, and while not necessarily a big deal it does make we wonder how that happened. The second and bigger issue is the sharpness of the edges of the bracelet. No, you can't shave with it (the drama surrounding the sharpness of the 3861 Speedy was a fun read), but it's noticeable and at least for me does impact comfort. My guess is at some point CW either changed their bracelet vendor, changed their tooling, changed the finishing or some combination of those.

So, at the end of the day is it a watch I recommend? Sure. Comfort is highly subjective and while I have read multiple posts about the different color/finish of the bracelet the sharpness doesn't seem to be something I've read about much and thus might be limited to my example, or simply is less compatible with my wrists.
