New Blue Dial Hamilton Ventura Watches

It's blue Ham time with Elvis man - it just doesn't get any better! I was just within the last month said to someone I wish Hamilton would come out with a new blue dial Ventura. They reportedly release(d) 6! I am a very big fan of these and although I still wanna see an Elvis80s version I have put one of these on my list. Love to hear what others are thinking about these.

I really don't have a problem with quartz. Some of my favorite watches have quartz movement. They keep accurate time and you just have to replace a battery once in a while. You get a great looking watch for less money that is more accurate that is easier to maintain why the hate? 😎

Are you joking? These are buy a new car watch prices! 🤣

·

Iconic pieces…I will get one eventually but probably go for the black dial…simple and plain.

Mineral cristal is a no go at this price point!

It's sapphire on these. Not sure any Hamilton use mineral TBH.

·

Love the chrono one

Check your specs, the three hander has a mineral crystal

So a few may but what maybe 95% don't? So ya hate on it.🤣 They might of designed this one that way since they are a bid to the original Elvis watch.

I dont think that quote fits here at all - Quartz is a great must-have for every watch collector worth his/her salt because as much as automatic & mechanical watches dominate the connoisseurs collections, nothing undermines the practicality and "ready at all times" functionality of quartz - Not to mention the price point comparatively - I love quartz

No, the threehander does have mineral crystal. I don't hate the ventura, quiet the opposite and i would have bought one a long time ago, if the classic three hander would have an saphire crystal.

Interesting, I only looked at the chrono. Bad choice and a backwards step for a £900 watch.

·

Great that Hamilton is keeping the Ventura alive.

My favorite is still the mid-century Ventura Electric in 18k gold with the black dial and classic Richard Arbib case design...

Image

I wish they would bring back the Altair and the Vega...both very cool mid-century designs...

I love the top, non chronograph. The Mid-Century to me screams "The Jetsons." Love It !

They look good in person.

·

Love the Ventura! See much a classic

Because when Swiss do quartz they overcharge. Every Swiss quartz watch I have had can't even align to the minute or hour markers

Most of my quartz watches are chronographs and I haven't had any issues.

I've had the tissot quartz, longines VHP, and tag quartz all of them did align with the markers. My £100 citizen and casio did perfectly.

It’s got no heart literally there is a battery .

That’s why u buy it for design and not for the technical avant- guard )

Hence beautiful but empty .

Cuz watches aren’t bought for accurate time anymore , we have a phone for that )

If u really want accurate then get spring drive ) it’s best of the both worlds

In that statement you can simply say "to me personally" and everything u just said could be accurate. dont speak for others as each person may have completely different reason for liking or living a watch - I have 45 plus watches with some big hitters in collection world but one of my most favorite precious watches is a simple 300 dollars Skagen (quartz) bevause mt late father used to wear it - To me the heart isnt about battery or mechanical - its the story or moment in time that watch signifies - A person who is able to afford his/her first quartz of a good quality to mark a certain memory or milestone in life can have the same "heart" in that watch which you find only in mechanical - and talking specifically by analogies the battery is a pacemaker for the heart - so its not that it doesnt have a heart but the one thats being run with the help of technology as opposed to on it own

Once again u mixing technical with sentimental …

Of cos it’s my opinion, like everyone else here we all state our opinions .

U chose to reply to my opinion with urs . If it’s not to ur liking don’t reply . If u wanna discuss then be open to other opinions my friend ) good day

This post was simply to provide that these exist now and I do think they are cool. I am not at all wanting to convince anyone they should get one. Please no one buy them. Then maybe I can pickup a few of them cheap! 😂 Obviously for each watch we each weigh out if they are something we must add to our collection and go through our list of qualifiers and disqualifiers. We all have our own and of course what we think is 💯 correct. 😂 I am very satisfied that some of my likes and opinions are different than the crowd. These truths are part of what makes it all so interesting. I try to play nice with others, sometimes it can be difficult. 😎 Cheers to you all ! 🍻

Why you add bombing?

Sorry. I don't know what happened, but my post was a response to an OP for "Your favorite watch photo." How it got here, I have no clue - I hadn't even seen the Ventura post. Definitely not promoting anything . . . .
