Also considered this piece. Fell in love with the dial and integrated bracelet, and the fact that it is Norwegian (I'm danish, so in the lager scheme of things we are kind of related 😂). But couldn't currently justify the price point. So I looked at seikos offerings and found the spb227j1 (see below), at less than half price, and pulled the trigger. But the Jan mayen is a beuatiful watch and I believe it sports a well regulated movement and the finishing is very good, so perhaps the price is justified?
I just bought mine on chrono24. Didn't mean too. Was looking at the fratello straum jan mayen limited release with a striking red Fumé dial resembling the lava flow in a Vulcano at a price point I couldn't currently justify. Hmm , does sieko make any watches with a striking red Fumé dial, I thought. In fact they do, at less than half the price. And what a beuatiful watch in picture an video. Yours, sir, is a beautiful specimen. Can't wait to see mine in the flesh.
