Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical

My new favorite watch! The Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical is my latest addition to the collection. Absolutely stunning dial with a dependable in-house Swiss H-50 movement. As far as field watches go, you can’t get any better than this!

Nice. If you're going to go field watch you might as well go minimalist, no date and classic.

Classic.

Classic.

It’s one of those watches that I look for it’s beauty more than the time 😂

Beuity is in the eye of the beholder I suppose but I wouldn't say it's any more beautiful than G.I Joe. 😉 But it's utilitarian look appeals to me.

Is this the 38 or 42?

Did you get this off Amazon? If you did, I think I was looking to purchase this same watch! 🤣😂😜

I bought used off of eBay. I would look into buying used. Was about half the price than new. This is the 38mm. I would highly recommend this watch. Very comfortable on my 6.8 inch wrist

It does two things.

Looks good on the wrist.

Tells time.

😉 Hamilton is always a good choice on a solid field watch!

Congrats! I love the look of the Hamilton since it is so close to the US MILSPEC version from the 60-70s. I wanted one, but just didn't have the $$ ... and then I found the Timex MK1 Mechanical on sale for $85. Someday I'll pick up the Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical, but until then:

I just love field watches. Very nice watch!

Absolute classic. Beautiful watch.

·

Congrats man! Well worn. Enjoy it in good health.

I have one of these and I love it. It seems affordable, but then you end up buying a million straps for it. It looks good with everything.

·

Clean, beautiful and a classic! Welcome to the club!

Sadly, I have fallen into the strap trap🙃

Not to mention a bracelet. 😉😀

I have the white dial version and love it. In fact, surprised how much I love it with how simple and utilitarian it is. Congrats on the new watch.

·

The ‘quintessence of utility’. Profoundly statisfying to gawk at…I almost feel sheepish as if I was spying a scantily-clad chick from across the public pool!

My wrist is a 7 inch, do you think the 42mm would be better for me?

My wrist fluctuates between 6.8-7 inches and the 38 is perfect. But it all depends on if you like a bigger watch or not. In my opinion the 38 suits any size wrist

No.

I love the khaki field, a cracker of a field watch, wear it in good health. 🍻

My personal favourite field watch is the M100 though, I have a weakness for subsidiary seconds. That’s an internet photo, I’ve yet to purchase this watch.

I have a 7 1/4in wrist. I feel like most folks online say that 42 is too big and 38 works for everyone. Their opinions don't matter. Neither does mine. I really like 40-42mm. But the khaki at 38 is the smallest watch I own. It looks almost too small, in my opinion. But I still like it.

What I would suggest, if you can, is to try it on. And a 42. See what sparks joy for you.

Such a classic and timeless design. I don't own but I'm impressed every time I see one. Thanks for sharing!
