Favorite Complications

Hey y’all! Just wondering what everybody’s favorite complications are. These don’t have to be necessarily ones in yer collections, just ones that you like. For example, I love love love Minute Repeaters. I have no idea how to “read” the chimes, but whatever. I think those are the bestest, most awesomest things ever. Another one is on a watch Breguet makes; it’s got a freakin’ music box in it! Or their double tourbillon (which is pictured), which I think is stunning 🤩

So what say y’all?

Lolz I am always turning and clicking my dive bezels. For absolutely no reason at all.

Omg I would get in so much trouble with that!!!

Power reserve.

Power reserve.

That would be soooo useful to have! I have an older Seiko Kinetic that has one, but I don’t think it works right. Keeps going up and down even though it’s just sitting there

Date function is a favorite. I actually like a power reserve indicator. The new GS models put the indicator on the back and that's very cool.

First time I’ve laughed out loud on WatchCrunch heheh

I feel like, at least for me, a date complication is a requirement.

Keep it simple, but if you are going complicated, then go hardcore, astronomical complications, things like the equation of time, sidereal time, sunrise, sunset, star maps, the lot.

How do those even work? Cuz tides aren’t the same everywhere so how do you set it?

On the Timex is you look up the tide at your location and set the tide hand to match, and it should stay close enough for a few weeks. It works where you have 2 high tides each day, which will be roughly every 12hrs 25mins.

I love the moon phase, it's so very romantic. I don't have one, zero actual plans to buy one, but I love the idea.

I use my dive bezel constantly. It's the most useful function. Laundry, lunch, doctors visits, snack time

GMT! Currently own a few and have more on the list.

I don’t have a GMT. That being said, I also don’t travel anywhere
