PS - Pardon the smudges / fingerprints on the glass... :)

It'd be the 40 for me I think.

·

40 for me but I like a bigger watch.

·

40 looks better to me.

·

I usually like the 36 more, but I’d say the 40 looks better on your wrist.

·

What’s your wrist size?

What’s your wrist size?

7.75 - 8 Inch (depends on weather)

·

The 40 easy for your wrist size.

The 40 easy for your wrist size.

Thanks Friend... Just a lil confused. I tend to gravitate towards Vintage sizing, though my wrist is 7.75 - 8 inches (depending on the weather). For some reason the 36mm felt more comfortable (and light - I like lighter watches that disappear) both times I tried the 36 & 40 on. The 40 felt like a big piece of heavy metal (and something felt off), though looking from afar the 40mm size also looks good on me. Hence, this post :)

Hmm, that's interesting...while the 36 didn't look bad per se, the 40 just seemed better suited. Comfort is important too!

I'm actually going to view the Explorer this week to try the 40 vs 36...I have a smaller wrist so I wonder how that will go. Guess I'll find out!

IMO.. For your wrist size…40mm … such a beautiful watch…good luck on your choice… either way you can’t go wrong

Here’s my 39mm on 7” wrist…it’s very comfortable .. you’ll have no prob with the 40mm if you decide to go in that direction

Even on my small 6.25” wrist, the new 36mm felt a little too small. Ultimately, I ended up going with a neo vintage 114270 36mm, which I find wears a lot better and has a little more presence than the current one

The 40 for you! The 36 for me!

The 40 definitely fits you better, it’s better proportioned. The 36 looks too small for your wrist imo. I have the 36 and have a small wrist of 6.6 inch. They are both great watches obviously.

·

The thing on the 40 that has felt weird to me is the size of the bezel (its chunky / wide) and the 21mm bracelet width (gives an integrated feel); and in the process loses the vintage charm.

Though as a unit the 40mm is well designed...

Thank you all for your kind support & thoughts. Neither the 36mm OR 40mm spoke to me (I still love the Explorer Dial) and I passed on the 36mm, so another enthusiast can enjoy it.

  • 36mm case size is ok, but bracelet tapers too much

  • 40mm bezel and bracelet are too wide.

  • Considered prior 36mm (114270) but like the 369 lumed.

  • The 39m (214270 MKII), has a lot of thoughts on proportions in the community and I havent tried it. Also cant find it at a decent price.

Guess will just live with the Lorier Falcon III for now.
