Hello Friends, I have a close to 7.75" wrist and like classic / vintage sizing in watches generally. As I get older, lighter watches in general appeal to me and (just a preference) larger watches to me feel better on Straps (vs. Bracelets).
I started looking at Rolex (after mostly being into micros, as I was learning about watches, brands & their pedigree). Initially the Explorer appealed to me a lot (the dial still does), but after trying both sizes numerous times - the Exp36 dial proportions worked wonderfully, but Bracelet Taper kept feeling odd & Exp40, the wideness of bezel, bracelet and clasp just felt too extra. Again these are just my opinions (I have friends who love both).
Then I started looking at OP and tried the 41 & 36.
Found that the Silver OP41 looked really huge (may be due to lighter color dial's openness) but in darker colors (Green, Black) OP41 looked good. Overall though, I found the OP41 a bit top heavy.
Then tried the OP36 and have to say with 20mm lugs and clasp having same width as OP41's clasp, the proportions & weight just seemed correct.
Luckily the AD had someone decline a Green OP36 (and I loved that it is more versatile than a Black, as it goes from Bright Green to almost Black based on lighting)...
Looking forward to enjoying this one, learning and am sure tastes will evolve over time... :)

That’s an amazing watch. Enjoy! The way the green changes from dark to light is stunning. Love that it’s a bit matte and not shiny, just draws you into the green a bit more.
I initially wanted the yellow dial but since that got discontinued, I changed my preference to this. Ended up buying my wife the green OP 31mm.
Really nice colour.
