Good to see a RGM badge has been added!

I wanted to say thank you to the WatchCrunch team for adding the RGM badge.

I think this is a great American watch company that deserves more attention.

So if I post here, I gain one post toward the badge?

·

Maybe you can just post the same thing 25 times.

INTSTANT BADGEDOMONIUM!!!!

If anyone has found out the requirements for an "insightful" comment, they haven't shared it. My assumption is that it was to be of a certain word count.

The Universal Geneve badge was launched last week. I’m now a proud owner. First for a RGM badge now.

I got a couple of badges so I think they skipped the requirement for a comment to be insightful👍

I do not know what counts as insightful. Sometime I get credit sometimes I do not. My count for RGM did not go up with the creation of the topic maybe it will for this comment. I do not know.

RGM is an underrated brand that absolutely deserves more attention than it gets! Well done to WC!

I cannot wait to have one on my wrist.

I’m reacting to your comments simply to boost your “insightful” case

What an insightful post…

·

This will be a hard one to obtain. So few in the wild and not many on WC.

I hope we start to see more.

Somehow I have one, probably from your other post where I commented how #sturmanskie didn't have a badge either but #spaghettiscameti did. I'll see if the counter goes up after I post this.

My last comment added to the count, so I know at least 32 words count. I'll check again after this.

It's at least 20, they counted the last one, too.

If you have the opportunity to visit in Pennsylvania it’s worth the time. Some interesting pieces of equipment and some interesting watches.

I agree 100%. I meet with Roland when I went to the shop and specked one out with him (soon I hope to have it), he showed me a number of watches and I got to see the Yellowstone watch before he had posted it on the site https://www.rgmwatches.com/rgmblog/2022/11/14/rgm-celebrates-yellowstone-national-parks-150th-anniversary-1872-2022.

He also gave me and the wife passes to National Watch & Clock Museum a short drive from his workshop.

I live near RGM and stopped in to get an estimate on a watch repair. I met Roland and he is a real class act. Not only did he repair my watch, but I was so impressed with his whole staff. As soon as I can afford it, I am getting one, they are superb in person. I have seen some of the painted dials and the Yellowstone is spectacular.

I have one on order. I am hoping it is done soon. I also have my eye on a second one I hope to order if a deal I am working on come through for me.

Hell yeah! Now all we need is a Towson Watch Co badge. Getting the badges is probably the closest I will get to my two favorite Grail watches

I also love Towson Watch Company. I own two of them. I have you suggested. the badge? Maybe post a poll asking the community if we should have a Towson badge? I did both for the RGM badge.

They have been really good at adding badges lately. I bugged the mess out of tech support for the Aragon badge 🤣

I post on my phone, but I will try to make something up for us👍🏾

RGM not getting deserved attention comes as no surprise. Did a quick search for video reviews and of course came up very short. The same old brands over and over again. Hope your post here changes that!

So would you say that RGM is in the crucible or precious stage?

Tough call as I didn't consult a graph like this when I came to my conclusion! I'll go with crucible, but remain firm on the paucity of video reviews.

I concur. They are presumably at capacity already and need not focus on growth, marketing, or publicity.

I am really looking forward to picking up my RGM 222-RR this spring (ordered in November). And now I am finding myself thinking that I really need something with the 801 movement. (Not that I regret the 222, I truly think in its current iteration it's the best designed watch in their collection. It's that good). I really liked the 801-Aircraft when I visited, and its the style of watch I would be most likely to wear. But now that I have one of their enamel dials on order, it almost seems like it would be sacrilegious not to get something rose-engine turned as the follow-up act? One way or another, I have a hard time believing that RGM has managed to stay under the radar for this long. Still, it's amazing to have a resource like that just sitting in my general area. If people had any sense his little workshop in Mount Joy would be absolutely mobbed. I guess I should be grateful that this hasn't happened yet. RGM is the "old world" reality that so many of more famous independent only pretend to be.

And to the point of the OP, I also love the fact that there is now an RGM badge as well. I think that he is the sort of watchmaker whose work would really thrive on Watchcrunch if we could produce some more media around it. It's thoughtful, considered and studied by enthusiasts rather than necessarily being adored by the masses. Don't get me wrong, I love a good Swiss steel sports watch as much as the next guy and I wear a lot of them. But what someone like RGM is brining to the table is just an all together different conversation.

I cannot wait for the call letting me know my watch is done. I do not want to reveal ro much about it ahead of time but a few skills and disciplines are needed in the making. I have also fallen in love with the 151-OP.

RGM is a watch enthusiasts brand for those who are into the historic watch making process and not mass production.
