Personally, I find it too similar to the King Seiko option with satin beige dial. To each their own, but if you’re going with GS, get one that really shows off their spectacular dials. Just my opinion though!

If you like the color then I'd say it's a very good dial. It takes sunburst to another level. Depends on your current light condition it will switch from silver to gold to champagne. Under direct sunlight you can even see ripples going across the dial.

I've always had an itch for a champagne dial GS as well!

But, I can't justify it, when I already have this mod, and this mod has an absolutely killer champagne sunburst dial!

Having said that. I don’t think credors of the past were in the same vein as the credors now.

I went to try one at AD, I found at 40mm it was just abit too much champagne for me.

Bought an old 8J quartz model and it’s 34mm, but just enough champagne for me to admire.

Their champagne dial (a few names for it- silk ray etc) is rather difficult to do involving 200+ steps, more so than the textured dials that are stamped.

Not sure if it’s the same for other brands champagne dials tho.

Are these hard to find, even at AD? I went this past week, my AD usually has the whole line-up, well not the whole thing, but the popular ones. I know they just came out, and my AD said they haven’t even seen one. Even those new Tag Heuer Carreras aren’t out.

They were show cased at Watches and Wonders. My AD had some some of the new ones, but not all. It may take a bit to get to see them in person.
