New Toolwatch Ideas

We've seen watches with bezels for divers, compasses for explorers, extra hands to track time for for frequent flyers, antimagnetism for scientists, I've even seen one with a metronome for musicians.

My question is, what addition tool/s would you like to see added to a watch, that would benefit your profession or hobby?

A little compartment where I can put a folded up playing card. For some reason I don't think it'll come to pass.

Honestly, divers or skindiver types with a timing bezel serve me well as a massage therapist. I obviously don't wear my watch when I'm working on someone, but I love the legibility and timing bezel options for sitting on a table in my massage room so I know my stopping time, cause our clocks where I work are caca.

I apologize if my post is rambling, runs on, or doesn't make sense. I'm awake at 3:48AM with what feels like the flu.

Great idea, a small compartment could have a lot of uses. I'm imagining a watch that reminds you to take your pills and maybe even stores one or two. Might need to go quarts for some extra room in the case/lugs.

I like the idea of legible at a distance timers. I was thinking for psychologists looking at your watch could be seen as rude and not all rooms have clocks. In your case a watch could get in the way. Something like a coloured bar that fills up as a preset time elapses could be cool too.

Maybe something that can alert you when you’ve received a message or a call… that would be interesting 🤔

must look good with a blue suit apparently.

A henshin/transformer for our Kamen Rider/Space Sheriff/Power Ranger needs? 😛😂

Honestly nothing much, all I want is high legibility and great design. A wrist watch is nothing more than a slightly useful jewellery in 2023.

A metronome for playing musical instruments. I think it is doable.

Omega should bring back the soccer/football timer. My son played 50club soccer games a year for 7 years and there’s never a scoreboard with the time.

A defect counter for QC roles. Push the button and it counts incrementally up one.

Breitling should bring back the slide rule in the chronomat model.

Haha, ok I wasn't the first one for the idea. Thank you for sharing. I should thought about seiko.

Lasers.

Reliable time keeping and a rotating bezel for timing simple tasks... 😉

Though realistically any quartz watch without transmitting and receiving functions works as well in most environments where smartwatches aren't allowed.

Exactly!  😛

Alethiometer complication (one that can be read by adults).

So handy if you have to work with politicians from time to time!

·

I would like more mechanical wacthes (affordable) with alarm complication.

·

I'd like a watch with a "counter complication". It would have buttons like a chronograph, one button to increment a counter, and another to decrement. The crown could be used to reset the counter. The counter would be displayed in the same way as a "big date", ideally capable of counting up to 999, but 99 would probably be sufficient.

·

Button at the side to move the hands to 10:10 for photos...

A garrote.

·

A watch that measures six minute increments and converts it to .10 of an hour tracking and then provides an annual total.  The lawyers in the group will get this. 🤣😆🤣

Yes, a colored bar would be interesting
