I was obsessed with Nixon for years. At one point I had 10 of them. I got married with this day/date Sentry on my wrist.
I also loved their plad series I had to ge two. Mad I got rid of these..
Inexpensive, quarts, kept great time, and hundreds of styles. What's not to like. I'll have to dig up an old photo of my watch box from years ago.
Beautiful Accutron! I have the same watch, it was passed down to me from my grandfather. He was the original owner, my grandmother bought it for him back in 1965 (I think). All original parts, never been serviced as far as i know, and still runs (Hummmmms) great.
Made an offer on this on eBay because it came with the a brand new Un-worn black leather Hamilton strap with white stitching. I low balled him and he accepted my offer. I thought I would keep the strap and sell the watch to have a practically free strap.
But after wearing it for a few days, I don't thik I will ever part with it. The face is beautiful with the red contrast, not heavy, easy to read, and goes well with every strap. I love it so much when it stopped working I sent it in and had it serviced which cost more than I paid for the watch itself.
You could always have the best of both worlds with a dual watch strap. The only problem I see is that the watch on the inside of the wrist would be more prone to scratching.
