Blue Sea & Sky Featuring Mount Fuji

The dial is a renewed design I have been working on, done in Japanese stylistic art. The Sea is comprised of blue Seigaiha waves, with the specific waves at 4, 5 and 7, 8 O'clock having a white subtle arc. My logo sits at 6 O'clock as to not clash with the more delicate features in the Sky portion of the dial. The Sky carries on with the Japanese theme, having the clouds designed in the same fractal style of the Seigaiha wave. The last addition to the dial was a silhouette of Mount Fuji with its prominent ice cap. It was important to me trying to design the dial without having obvious hour markers, so I used different elements of the dial to point to each hour. The seagull at 12 O'clock, the clouds mark the 10, 11 and 2 O'clock. A line drawn from the origin of the hands through the center of the sun points to 1 O'clock. The Kanji characters at 3 and 9 stand for "Sea" & "Sky" respectively. The dial is 18K gold plated.

Very cool - what does the text at 3 and 9 translate to?

This vendor has some terrific dials. The dials have no feet and are shipped with adhesive dots to stick to the movement.

This is possibly one of the most beautiful watches I have ever seen, your talents are amazing. Blown away with your thought process for the design, the soul of a poet. Seeing your work is quite humbling. As a novice builder I have begun exploring using more texture and visual interest on my builds. Seeing this watch is very inspiring to me.🙏

PS. I spent some time in Doha many years ago.

What is humbling is your very kind praise. Thank you my friend, means the world. Doha has changed quite a bit, been here since 97, if you ever find yourself here, please reach out, I would be more than happy to meet and show you around. Best wishes my friend.
