Gifted Swatch?

I had a skeleton swatch when they first were a thing (around 1985?).I wore it in uniform as a young Police Officer in the London Metroplitan Police much to the consternation of my Old School Sergeant. It had vibrant 80s colours and was largely see through.

It didn't last long but only because it was constructed of truly awful plastic that literally disintegrated.

I had another more conventional swatch for a couple of years that didn't disintegrate but was unfortunately smashed whilst arresting someone who didn't want to be arrested.

I have not owned a swatch since.

But recently my father in law gifted me an unwanted raffle prize namely this boxed unused PyeongChang 2018 model swatch chronograph.

I don't know what to make of it to be honest.

So I'm after anyone with swatch knowledge to help me out here?

Firstly is this a rare model ( I doubt it but you never know)?

Secondly is it collectable / interesting/ worth anything?

Answers on a post card please!

Sorry.  No help, but you have my commiseration / condolences.  It's a gift, so you can't get rid of it!

Yes thank you! I'm lowering my expectations by the minute! Maybe the pakaging is rare!?

This reminds me of when I inherited a Beenie Baby collection a long time ago and my kids got me excited thinking we had some that were worth thousands of dollars. Turns out, we didn't (Google is great) but it was fun while it lasted.

Good luck!

Thanks! I hadn't managed to find a match searching for it which suggests it probably sank without trace and I won't be able to retire early....

Well, the name and date on the packaging indicate that it was made for the winter Olympics, in South Korea in 2018. Could it have been made as a gift to all participants, or as a memento of the games?  If you haven't already, why not drop a note to Swatch?

I think probably a momento? There are some similar models for sale on ebay etc for that event and others but I haven't found an exact match. Contacting Swatch direct is a good idea if they have an enquiry department. I will give that a go thanks!
