Great day at the British Watchmakers event today - unlike most Crunchers we went to the afternoon session, which I think turned out to be a good move - speaking to several of the brands the morning was mayhem. The afternoon was busy, but we didn't see any of the queues that other people here have mentioned and there was plenty of space and time to peruse the stands.
It was so great to see so many of the watches in the flesh for the first time and try them on - it does make a massive difference and we both came away having discovered some new favourites (shout out to @Clemence_Watches who I think might be getting another order at some point!) Also spoiler alert - @slightly_patinaed finally bought the Mister Jones "A Perfectly Useless Afternoon" he's been hankering after for ages.
We were too shy to say hello to most of the watch celebs, although we did get chatting to Andrew McCutcheon, who was really friendly. Anyway, here's a photo of the back of Andrew Morgan pointing at something!
Edit: also in watch industry gossip, spotted Davide Cerato - CEO of Bremont - exiting the hall. Wonder if they will finally be joining? 🤔
My husband is really the one into watches - it was either "get divorced or get onboard". I thought onboard would be the cheaper option, but now I'm not so sure...

So many great watches and I went with the full intention of getting the red Farer, but you're right it was the Beaucroft I now need to wait for. So impressed with the Clemence too.
