An open heart digital? From a dystopian future?

Been meaning to showcase this one for a while. Now that I got my macro lens I think it's time. North Edge seems to offer a range of watches - mostly digital but some analogs as well. This one is clearly intended for a specific audience with a penchant for dystopian sci-fi works.

The watch comes in an unassuming (foreboding?) black box with basic materials. No frills here, but the presentation is good at setting the mood.

And within it, we get the Cyber Tank...

A hefty stainless-steel piece with a rather visible reverse LCD on the bottom showing time/day or time/date. Among the features are an alarm, stopwatch, and world time mode. The top half offers an open view of the "heart" of the "movement" clear as day, reminiscent of the kind of hacked or kitbashed electronics you might see in a b-movie pitting a ragtag crew of downtrodden outcasts against an invincible megacorp.

Image

The brushed finish on the thick case and the subtle gridlines on the crystal make for a kickass aesthetic that tells you not to mess with whatever cybernetic being that you've had the misfortune to bump into is wearing it.

On top of that, the backlight will effortlessly illuminate the digits as well as the circuitry chamber.

While not the most refined piece ever, the price point will reflect that and keep it accessible to most fans of the genre. It doesn't seem to be on their website anymore but can still be bought online for the most diligent shoppers.

I LOVE it dude!

🔥🔥🔥🤘🏻🤌🏻

Also am partial to a good dystopian, cyber punk game/book/movie tho...

And LOVE retrowave music 😂.

Haven't really checked North Edge out, so thanks for that too!

Intriguing watch & great pics!

Very cyberpunk feel to it, it's not my cup of tea. Maybe this would appeal to late teens or the early 20s crowd.

Preem timepiece! Top-notch with the write-up and how you present it.

Also, Make sure to keep the software updated on this one, alright? Can't let those hackers discover and sneak in. 😉

Look at you continuing to broaden my watch horizons and deepen my knowledge of an area that I've been unfamiliar with! Posts like this are WC gold.

Or perhaps an old timer like me still eager to learn new things and experience fresh perspectives.

Man, that post made me feel good. I love those 8bit graphics and that watch looks great! The anniversary G-Shock jellys had some open circuit boards too. I would have bought one, but jelly? Sadly yellow in the future...
