Watch straps in Canada?

There have already been many threads about import fees and taxes when living in Canada. I am curious where people who live in Canada buy their straps.

I am not looking for tricks (my closest border crossing is a 12 hour drive, I am not driving to the airport to clear my package). I just want to know if there are places you recommend for companies that are based in Canada that sell good watch straps.

StrapsCo has a huge selection and is based in Montreal! 👍🏼

I’ve had good luck with CNS, I believe they’re Swedish, however I’ve not had any issues getting the straps through the border.

I bought a NATO from StrapMill Canada and it's very nice!

I'll check that for sure! Thanks!

Usually Amazon and sometimes, for [surprisingly quite good] leather and rubber straps I go to a Fossil store.

When you buy them remember the soft ones frey but the hard ones last longer but are not as comfortable. Its a trade off and not a quality issue.

They are consumables after all so I buy the ones under $10 bucks and swap them out like crazy among the colors.

I've never had import taxes on straps - unlike watches that always do.

I've had quite a few custom made from Vietnam. Etsy is a good source. Never had issues.

Just received an order from CNS. All good as well.

I also have a bunch from aliexpress. All terrible. They are only good to check if a style/color matches before ordering something wearable.

Again, never had surprise bills.

I've ordered from Strap Mill Canada twice. My only complaint is the selection because they have nothing in 18mm, otherwise their flash sales and bundles are good. (I've ordered from Crown & Buckle in the U.S. and their NATOs are visibly worse than SMC's.)

Strap Mill Canada, Watchstraps Canada,CNS, Barton, Amazon all have been flawless for $ hiccups. I tend to stay away from Etsy. Just never sure what I'm getting in Canada unless it's a Canadian vendor.

Stapsco, CNS, Strapcode and Uncle Seiko, have not had to pay duties from either.

This one is in the USA but I have not paid any import duties for straps that I have purchased from them. I have so far order 2x from them.

DON'T buy Barton direct. I've done it 3 times and had messed up orders all 3 times. But you can buy them in Amazon and I've never had an issue ordering any strap, including Barton, on Amazon.

Etsy is decent too. I've ordered leather straps from Ukraine and other than long shipping time, they've always shown up.

Strap Mill Canada is excellent. Their Natos are nice and their FKM rubber is also excellent. Not cheap, but no brokerage and reasonable delivery times. I've ordered from them 3 times now. Always good.

stick to their nato because the quick releases are horribly cheap
