The one that started it all and the one I can't take off my wrist

When I got the Seiko SNK807, I caught the watch bug. It led me to buying 4 more watches in the span of 3 months in the excitement to explore new watches, a rookie mistake. Luckily, the most recent of the watches I bought came from a bit of patience and thinking and I haven't been able to take it off since. 2 years into this hobby, these are the two watches that stuck around.

What watch started it all for you and what watch do you wear most often?

Good question.

Oddly enough, I started to work for a (rather big) watch company at that time - true story - and I was not really into watches. But I started interacting with our product department and these guys were asking me tons of questions about my market "what product do you need? what would your customers want?" I was not sure what to answer so I started to look for examples of things I thought, were meaningful. And while looking around I found this:

The Seiko Presage Star Bar Kyoto limited edition SRPF41J1.

I instantly fell in love. Then I thought, "ok let's buy it!" What a newbie... It took me a few long hours on the net to find one... I could not believe that though there was 8 000 of these produced it took me so long to actually find one, and I was lucky! I had it shipped from Japan. The dial is magnificent, and I still love this watch.

Three years later, I am still a big Seiko fan, but the piece that makes me feel that I could very well do with only one watch is my Explorer 114270:

For me it was a Seiko SRPD55K1 that restarted my love for watches and after a couple of seikos i got interested in microbrands.

Currently the Baltic Aquascaphe Classic requests the most wrist time and i‘m very happy with it.
