Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
This journey started quite late for me as I was researching a watch to buy as a gift for my wedding. Once I started delving in this wondrous world of mechanical beauty there was no way back anymore.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
The first luxury piece I bought, and de facto the starting point of this journey, was the Omega Seamaster 300 1957.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
1. Buy the watch you really want, don’t compromise. 2. Buy with your heart and not with your head. 3. Create your own rules.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
In no particular order: Serica, Lorier, Baltic, Squale, Zodiac and Citizen.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
I have two. Blancpain Bathyscaphe Hodinkee Limited Edition. To me this watch is pure perfection. This could really be the watch that makes me exit the game. Omega Seamaster 165.024. Such a badass watch.
