Your Favorite Coffee/Tea Cup From Which You Sip as Your Watch Ticks Along?

Watches and Coffee. I think this phrase can rightfully be included in the peanut butter and jelly and peas and carrots club…because who of us Crunch people don’t like to sip from our favorite mug while wearing one of our treasured time pieces?

My favorite coffee/tea mugs, to complement my choice of watch, is one of three Costco owl mugs. I had six originally, but had to divi three of them to my girlfriend of eight years when she grew tired of me and moved out. Oh well…at least I got the first pick on three of the six.

What’s your favorite coffee/tea mug from which you enjoy your morning coffee or tea after donning your daily watch?

Not the clearest photo (because it was background to the watch), but this WAS my favorite mug. Got it in 2007 on a trip to the Smoky Mountains. Unfortunately, it's in about seven pieces in a Walmart bag right now. Back in December, while getting Christmas decorations down out of the attic, I managed to dislodge a 97-lb antique fire alarm from a joist, which sent it careening down the attic stairs and straight for my cup o' brew. I was heartbroken and pissed all at the same time (Let's just say that fire alarm met the same fate as that printer in Office Space). I managed to hold on to it this long, without even a chip (including two out of state moves), just so it could fall victim to an inoperable chunk of metal that I should've gotten rid of when we first bought the house. I have another, newer cup from the same pottery house, from a later trip, but it's just not the same. Since it just broke, and didn't shatter into a million pieces, I'm hoping one day I can epoxy it together. If I'm lucky, it will hold liquid. If not, it'll become a pencil holder. Pic (also blurry, same reason) of the newer, not as special to me, replacement mug. 👇 It'll have to do for now.

Oh my goodness…that is a wrenching story. Damn fire bell!

Definitely I say glue it together. Your pencils will thank you if it is no longer coffee-worthy.

May I say you have good taste in watches…Islander Pepsi and a Royale!

Thank you, I enjoy your collection on the daily WRUW, as well. I still groan a little every morning when I open the cupboard. I need to get on it and try to put it back together.

The cup says it all, bit of a cheat really as I'm off the coffee😪 as it started to give me heartburn(do miss a cup of freshly brewed)

Oh no! Two words that may get you back to a hot cup: Pepcid Complete (a miracle cure).

Cheers I'll look that up, used the usual cures, but found no coffee need no tablets. The very occasional one no problem but as I work shifts once I get the hit n the taste that's it I'm coffeaholic.

Pepcid Complete, or it’s supermarket equivalents, contains the ingredient famotidine, which reduces gastric concentrations without altering one’s proton pump. I think it’s the bee’s knees.

Thanks just checked its available here in the UK, I'll give it a go, and in the near future will be an early morning WURW on the patio with a proper cup of liquid black, cheers.

I don't really have a "special" coffee cup these days, although I have been using this "Starry Night" cup I picked up from the "Beyond Van Gogh" exhibit last summer.

A celebrated artist indeed…but he, per his personal history, could have done well with a couple cups of Joe a day.

Nice! The truck looks like a 1992 Toyota Xtra Cab.

I either use a titanium cup that is part of a camping set.

Or in case of difficulties, I switch to the one that can bring it up to 11.
