The Daily Beater

Hi everyone. I don’t use watchcrunch much but it’s really a great platform with the most sane bunch of watch enthusiasts. I recently bought this and love it so wanted to share. Max did a Sinn 556 video recently but I think this 556ib is the best of the bunch. A cleaner dial with an amazing blue sun ray dial but the same case. and my own beat up leather strap. I think it’s the perfect every day watch. dresses up/down, great looks and proportion, unassuming, sits there quietly and reliably. And I got it for about £800.

what do you guys think? What watches are your equivalent daily beaters, regardless of price? Please share!

For me it is the 556 a rs .

One of my favorit Sinn watches.

Sinn's are great watches and it's good to see one doing what it's designed for.

Here's mine(obviously not a Sinn, £800 on a watch that might get beaten up😱) a £65 ebay seiko(and it runs like it as well🤪) but it does its job in a fashion. It's all about perspective I suppose, and I baby my more expensive peices which is probably a bit silly, should use em and take the wear n tear as a consequence of wearing and enjoying my pieces. Great post and enjoy your Sinn.

Not exactly a daily but this 556i gets as much wear as any in my collection.

Very understated watch , great choice

As much I prefer a date wheel, I got no problem with it missing here. I love the simplicity.

·

I don't really have a "beater" watch but this isn't preventing me congratulating you on a very nice watch. The 556 is great.

They’re great watches aren’t they?

I have a Sinn 556A that I really enjoy. I'm thinking about getting a 104.  II wouldn't call watches in that price range beaters, but more in the everyday watch category. My beaters, watches I would wear in a rough and tumble situation, are a Casio Duro and G-Shock 5600.

It's a beautiful watch. I like the numerals best but indices are cool too.

I've been really digging sinn more and more over the past month. Absolutely love their clean designs.

·

This looks great haven’t really checked out Sinn enough, are there places to try them on (UK) anyone knows of?

·

Not many retailers for Sinn in the UK. if you look up Sinn uk on goodie you’ll come up with a few places but may not be close to you

Great looking watch and this is a great beater for sure as well. Sinn is a brand I haven’t picked up yet but definitely want to

Nice Sinn! One of these days I’ll get a U50 or a 104. I’ve got watch crushes on those 2.

In my case a daily needs a date. My daily beater is my Apinist Ginza, and to some extent my GS Sakura (which I can’t call a beater but I love wearing for all but the most watch abusive tasks!)

BTW - I assume Daddy pig is a Peppa reference - Are you literally connected to the family that made the show?

Not at all. I’m a dad of two little girls obsessed with that crap. I’m actually an orthopaedic surgeon, I fix bones for a living!
