Little Lange 1
Spent a lovely afternoon in London yesterday. To avoid the rain, we dove in to Harrod’s - so obviously I went into their Fine Watch Room. There’s been a bit of a shuffle with the boutiques. I discovered that the Lange concession is actually managed by Lange themselves now (previously by Harrods’s). It’s their only one in the UK (the one on Old Bond St is managed by Wempe). The staff were very friendly and even though I specifically said I could probably never afford one - she insisted that I should try one on and that she also liked getting the pieces to see herself (!).
My previous favourite was the Lange 1 Moonphase but that has risen almost 20k GBP since I last looked (about 5 years ago). I also really liked this Little Lange 1 (which also comes in a moonphase variant btw). Coming in a hair under 37mm it looked lovely on my wrist imo. *sigh I’m just going to have to win the lottery….or sell some organs….

I saw the Lange boutique in BKK and they where also friendly and lovely. I didn’t try one on as there was a special room to sit inside the shop that was occupied and he looked like a serious buyer , whereas I also would need to sell a kidney and my children to buy what I desire , the 1815 triple flyback chronograph… ahhhhhh

When I went to WatchTime NYC they were there and also very lovely people. I tried on all of their watches and also considered which organs to part way with so I could take one home.

That 1815 chrono is impressive (but it would also be wearing me as opposed the other way round….)

The Little Lange 1s in general have quite a colour palette thats definitely more ‘feminine’
Harrods is perfect for a rainy day. But I must have missed the Lange department. I just saw one glass stand with no personal. That Lange 1 looks very nice. I love the details. I must say I was impressed by the Lange Julian brought to our meetup as well. I need both of my kidneys but it’s always nice to dream and plan.

IMO if you go for a Lange - you should go for something with the outsize date. Julian did spoil us!

I would recommend asking for a loupe if you ever to happen to get the opportunity. Have a look at the both the front and back.
You are right - pictures don’t do it justice - its tough to capture the amount of depth
