Strap Rant!!😤
98USD from Artem Straps. Supposedly to be a premium quality sailcloth water resistant strap. But only 20 months of wear, and not a daily. How it happen? I dunno… Just one fine day i saw a crack across the strap which bends into the fixed loop. Soon later the side also start to rip… 🙄
Need help on recommendations for sailcloth strap? TIA

Yea is definitely a bummer.. i realy like the looks of it but for the price point at 98USD i was expecting more of it.
I have the loopless. Haven’t had any issues. Also not a daily but also not stuffing the band end into keepers 🤷♂️
Not acceptable.
I feel much better about my cheap Ritche sailcloth strap now.
🤔 let's step off the naive train and realize the $90 strap and the $20 strap come from the exact same factory, so save $70+ and get the $20 strap (not including true independent craftsman leather work etc, legit value).
Now legit luxury and Japanese watchmakers are absolutely using the best of the best for their brand ie Seiko, Citizen, Longines, etc etc
As much hate is on Pagani and San Martin et al, again, if its running a Seiko or Seagull movement, the $300-$700 microbrand is also coming from the same factory as the$100 piece..... read the specs on watch sites, they are pretty much indifferent.

I say replace the strap if possible. If your dead set on trying to fix it, try a no heat leather / vinyl repair kit. It may extend the watch strap's life long enough for you to buy a new one.

IMO, I'd rather go with the Cordura. It's less plasticky compared to a sailcloth, and more stores (and artisans) are working with it.

Thanks for the recommendation! I got my replacement sailcloth from your link. Strap is from monstrap. 🙏🏻
