Welcome to WC, are you Carrington or Smith?  Or maybe you’re both and the other guy doesn’t get his name out front?

·

Hi there thanks forthe comments, i am smith !! Lol i will do my best to provide any useful help i can and look foreward to discussing our wonderful obsession 🤪🤪

Welcome to WatchCrunch.  Can you tell why the two of you got into the watch business? Unfortunately, I don't see anything remarkable.  Am I missing something or are these just off the shelf basic movements put into cases with dials that you have designed?  Do you make a minute repeater or a perpetual calendar?

Your right nothing remarkable … like many things our first watch was born from an evening of too much wine and a long discussion over each others watch collection and the fact that neither ofus could really buy the watch expierience we craved…. All parts are now made in house including case   hand dials etc and a nice man in glastonbury makes our straps from leather we hand choose from pitards of yeovil… my background comes from working in the english gun trade and you will see overlaps from this…as you said nothing remarkable but we are only four years in and from what i can tell we are one of a handful of watchmakers actually making our own parts !! As for movements would you trust a newbee to develop a new in house movement in four years !!! This is a very very expensive toy box to play at and to make any money is way off…anyways the 2824 eta and gmt movements we use are trusted and can be repaired by anyone should we go bust…. I like to think we are doing something just a bit different and i am sure time will bear this out. We have quite a few things under development and will keep those interested in the loop…

thanks for your interest rob….

Thankyou for your kind words…. Case design was derived from a APU hours guage from one of british airways 747,s being scrapped at kemble..the backs are machined from a piece of roof section from the same aircraft…

regards rob
