My favorite combo for the Speedie is a Sailcloth strap with white stitching to match the monochrome dial. StrapsCo makes a clone of Artem's straps available in 19mm and short-length, if you want to check it out.

The only short-length rubber straps I know of are the Barton ones. They're available in 19mm and in a variety of colors. I own a few and the 175mm length is perfect for my 16.5cm wrist. 👍

They sure look good. But they also look stiff and I had some sailcloth straps in the past and they just never broke in 🫤

Are they more comfortable than other sailcloth straps? I didn't really enjoy the ones I had in the past, they were just too stiff.

Me too.. had a watch gecko strap that never seemed to break in like I wanted (I like watchgecko straps a lot by the way) but these did quite well. It’s still sailcloth.. so you already know we are not expecting the compliance of leather or other fabrics.. but these do well.. I learned that if I wanted a good ( and versatile) alternative to a bracelet.. it would have to be sailcloth.. and if you wanted a good one.. likely won’t be cheap.. you have a watch that fits the bill.. good luck on the hunt..beautiful watch!

The company makes others but this particular band is particularly relevant. Known as the astronaut band, it was actually worn back in the day. Super comfortable and way cooler than leather or rubber. Check out Forstner for some interesting accessory choices for your Speedy.

If you're not a fan, the Artem probably won't change your mind. The quality is fantastic but it took a VERY long time for mine to break in.

If you haven't already, you may want to check out Uncle Straps, who carry a lot of 19mm options as well, including a good Tropic that I have and dig.

There are a ton of watch strap brands that make 19mm lug width straps. Many listed in comments.

Zulu Diver makes great straps and are a tad cheaper than Artem, though Artem has more color selections. Try Finwatchstraps too.

I have a number of their straps. They take a couple weeks to make them and send to you. This said - happy with the quality of their leather ones in particular. Other good custom leather strap maker is finwatchstraps.

I’m right with you on this one. I have an aqua terra with 19mm lugs AND I have a small wrist too. I feel your pain here.

I’m just using a 20mm artem in the 19mm lugs and the straps are definitely suffering but man do nice straps feel premium.
